At the risk of telling my life story again... lol Henz? 19's factory. SL/SSL a good 2 inches above tyre on the front and 1 inch on the rear. ^ This still hasn't quite settled down all the way. ^ This is the day I had it done. No settling, factory exhaust fitted. Since this it has settled considerably. I've destoyed 2 bump stops on my car so far. Fitted with Koni Red shocks. I apologise in advance for providing factual pictures of what to expect if you go lower than the pictures provided above. With a 4" exhaust it will be close to 50mm off the deck. Jack2 points

Just got my car home from getting springs fitted. Springs are King Spring SSL in the front and SSSL in the rear. Wheels are 20x8.5 on the front +35 offset and 20x10 with 275 on the rear with a +38 offset No scrubs or scraping to report yet, I am assuming it might settle or lower a little more over the next 2 days. Paid $250 for all 4 Delivered to my door over night. (Car is filthy dirty at the moment, needs a good wash after all this rain!!!)2 points

Just an update after my alignment at Heasmans Steering. Front arms shimmed up nicely, my rear has no camber adjusters and he said it'll be fine without camber arms or camber bushes, and that ill wear the tyres out from the power long before the camber will hurt them.2 points

Guys I'm getting a bit involved now with the ANDRA nsw rules stating that you still require a cage if you dip into the 10's. Now I've spoken to and today received an email from the CEO of ANDRA Mr Malcolm Bulley who is quite compassionate towards getting nsw and for that matter all Oz across the line with the no cage for 10's for modern cars. He has asked me to gain actual examples and mins mods needed to achieve a 10.999 or better. So please post your min mods, car and slip info and I'll create a comprehensive email back to Malcolm who has assured me he re raise this issue at the next bit meeting. Also mention a cost/spend. From what I understand FG wise it's $7000 for an F6 and $9000 for the xr6. Thanks in advance guys ans hears hoping we can get this across the line in 2013. "."1 point

hey mate, I just did the ssl/sssl last weekend too, its slightly firmer than stock, but nothing to worry about, And the ride still being nice was my main concern. In my opinion it sits perfect now. Also I got an all wheel alignment buy a top suspension shop here, they shimmed my front arms up nicely, and he said the rear was going to be fine. Go for it.1 point

I think it would be possible to run a 10 with a euro 4 FG F6 for under 4g (charged at a retail rate, not inc price of slicks) for someone willing to push it on E85 Link to FB page: http://www.facebook.com/groups/139192539576927/?ref=ts&fref=ts1 point

Ok so the pump should be in by now, but I couldnt help myself and I splashed out on some Brembos and braidedlines so it probably wont be tuned until tommorow. Probably only do one max power run just to see what it can do and then bring it back to abour 350 atw until I get the driveline beefed up.1 point

the oil is available to any castrol dealer, so they should be able to supply it to you, but we can only buy as 20 ltr minimum1 point

Yep, have to agree whole heartedly with Ratter & SteveR......save your money and buy the S/C GS/GT. So much potential from factory and it's an absolute gem of an engine. Head down to your dealer and get your hands on one before the last of the 'proper' FPV's are gone.1 point

OK, for those still interested in this thread I have done alot of ground work and found out from Ford directly that the Miami 315 & 335 engines do 100% come of the assembly line with the recommended 5W-20 Castrol Edge oil so there is no such thing as a special run in oil with these engines. Also, you can change your oil and filter whenever you choose to without any problems with your warranty as long as a genuine filter and the recommended oil is used. The reason Ford don't recommend or like doing this is to do with cost issues apparently (from the horses mouth) which is why the majority of service managers at dealerships will look at you a bit strange! I have also found that unless you purchase your oil direct from Ford it is only available in 20 or 60ltr drums with the 20ltr coming in at just under $360 so it certainley isn't cheap stuff and a 20ltr drum is only good for 2 changes as the engine holds 8.5ltrs. So for all of us wanting to do in between oil changes, it will have no effect on your warranty so if you want to dump the oil at 1000ks or 3000ks.....go for it. The oil can be a litle difficult to get as it was a joint colaboration between Ford & Castrol to develop it so they like to keep you going back to them for your services but you can get it. I hope this helps some of you guys with your concerns regarding this subject. Cheers, Rapid1 point

^^^ What he said. If you have no plan to change the turbo for a bigger unit then a dump and cat will give you all the power you need when coupled with a tune. The sound in my opinion with this mod is great with no drone or exessive noise. Just a nice burble as you are looking for. Benny.1 point

My BA 290 was capable of running 11's on slicks, so yes the boss can be made to go well, but Luke is correct, I presently have a FG 315 and will not do anything else to it as I can do heaps of mods and tune and it will only just match a stock S/C 335, so at some stage I'll probably just upgrade to one of them rather than just chuck money away1 point

So in the instance of a radiator the best colour is actually matt black as this will dissipate the heat within much quicker than a polished aluminium radiator. The problem with black materials is they absorb heat just as well as they radiate it but when the black item is much hotter than it's surroundings then this isn't a problem.1 point
