  1. Arghhh been a while but just been soooo busy lately Trying to fit everyone in gets hard but as they say the wait is worth it.... apparently lol Anywhoobezzz had a few members in and some new ones and some tuning for other workshops and some general rectification work from when customers get Jack of place “X” and track me down to fix it. This was one of those where he decided to get a package to spice up a work vehicle and afterwards the thing wouldn’t start well, wouldn’t run right until fully warmed up and consuming large amounts of fuel. Despite less than desirable injecto

  2. Bit of building to do this weekend. Grabbed a 5800X (was about all that was available), X570 motherboard, 1TB nvme and a couple of 16gb sticks of ram. I've got the waterblock for the GPU already, but now need to order one for the CPU so will wait to plumb thus build - air-cooled for now.

  4. So yesterday was the big day! I rocked up to MT (Monsta Torque) at 8am with a box of parts and a deep pocket 🤣 After all the trans cooling issues I've been having I decided to buy the PWR heat exchanger from Goleby's. We can debate about this another time, Rob recommends them and I trust him so I went with it. The cooler right on time before the tune, so along with that Rob installed the cooler and checked the oil. It has had a service and flush just over a year ago so another service wasn't planned, however I left it up to Rob to decide if I needed it done again (in t

  5. Nice work. Just out of curiosity, what memory sticks did you get? Speed, CAS latency and RAM Size per stick? Thank goodness for pay day. I went full retard and went AMD. I have ordered the Water block Bracket for the cpu. Waiting on that, so I can get the rest of my system up and running. MB GPU Can't do anything till Bracket for CPU water block arrives.

  8. Back at it again today! Big thanks to@joncitizen hooking me up with the sump arches at short notice! Big days got lots done. First up I started with the sump getting it all sealed up and tightened down. The moved on to getting the engine in the car and went about bolting everything up. The engine is huge! I started with the inlet manifold first, then exhaust side, rear main seal and trans and finally the cooling system. Cars running smooth, oil pressure primed up no drama. Let it idle for a bit and all looking good. No left over bolts and no check engine light. Winning!

  11. Solid effort getting two 525’s in that pot lol, something to be mindful of is most injectors have an absolute maximum upper pressure capacity of 100psi This is why you’ll see most big banger builds target 40psi base pressure vs out standard 58.5psi If you’re running excessive base 65-70 plus 30psi ontop you’re on the cusp of the injector not opening against head pressure, heating the windings up as the pressure it’s fighting is growing all leading to injectors wearing potentially out of balance and a heavily miss matched set in your built engine delivering what we ass

  12. Fitted the muffler this afternoon. It's a Hooker HK 21609 if anyone is interested. It's fair bit quieter but I think I might put another resonator in. Between me not being a great welder and the welder not being set up properly to start with, some of the welds are a bit average but meh, it doesn't leak or bang on anything so I call that a win! Still not sure what to do tomorrow...either fit twin 525 pumps, start fitting the Aeroflow 7675 and make dump etc or refit the Garrett gen2 GTX 3582r so I can turn the boost down a bit. It's still on all the boost with the Pulsar GTX 3584rs a

  15. I’m probably a bit too OCD and picky with tuning and yes not all cars play the game and not all mods work as well as others but when there is laziness at play or an intention to speed up the process for a number on a sheet it pisses me off. Is there a right and wrong with tuning, short answer is no as you can do whatever you want but the long answer is “Yes” as the target should always be Torque generation over power with an on paper skill attached to not only go well but look right. Then obviously the vehicle must perform, behave and last as we have seen above wasn’t very well deliv

  16. How annoying is it that EK do the backplate separately but recommend it.....like just sell the product with it. Thinking of adding a triple rad up front and a block for the 3080. It's actually making quite a lot of money mining crypto. smashes cyberpunk but honestly I regard the 3080 as a 1440p high FPS card. 10g vram should be fine for me.

  17. So I have lurked this forum for 12+ years and over of AFF for 15, and the amount of knowledge people have shared is incredible, and one of the main names that I have always seen is @JETURBO sharing his wealth of knowledge. My G6ET had surpassed 304,000kms and I have been getting fed up trying to find the right place I can trust to have any work done on her. Also now due to her age and miles, I feel I needed to find someone who actually cares about the car in front of them. WHY THE FORK has it taken me so long to have Aaron go over my car?! I've been reading this thread

  19. you lucky to find a 3080 anywhere at all. Your choices are 3070 or 3090. Right now I am just waiting for the 3080 with 20/24gb of ram to come out and I will get one of those. However the rumour is that it will only be coming out at the end of February. 20. So, thought I'd provide an update after driving it a bit. It's nice and loud, louder than a GTX. It easily makes 5psi at 2000rpm, so it's still torquey and responsive down low. For a manual car, its hard to fault. It doesn't come on as hard as I personally prefer, but for others it might be perfect. I seem to be able to get all the power to the ground in even 2nd and third. I do have decent suspension with squat, a trutrack, and semi slicks, but I think the GT3582R was more prone to wheelspin. Bringing the boost on earlier and harder with a built motor might change this

  24. Yeah man it was $110 posted so it is up there for a fuel filter. It should last for a while hopefully. In other news my farken fuel sender has sh*t the bed so it looks like I'll be pulling the tank again to fix whatever I farked up. In other other news, I'm gonna fit the 7675 this weekend. I've got everything for the install so I'll get into it on Saturday morning. We've got until Wednesday off so if I don't get it done on Saturday I can always go into work on the days off and finish it. Any guesses as to what it'll make on 98? The weather is hot af so it's not ideal bo

  26. Well I got the fuel system sorted today. With a bit of swirl pot engineering I fitted both Walbro 525 pumps to it. I ran a battery feed through a relay and put it all back together. The result is a minimum of 5 bar base pressure through the stock fuel lines and Turbosmart fpr800. I tried winding it down and 5 bar is the new 4 bar apparently! I put it on the dyno to fix the WOT afr from my reg winding antics, and it makes 6 bar of fuel pressure at 25psi boost, so it isn't far off there. It was dropping to 3.5 bar before. I'll give it a retune one day, but the

  40. Apologies for missing my yearly Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. Has been a tough year, with my mother not well in pallative care due to a brain tumour developing only three months ago, and on top of that losing my stepson exactly a year ago to epilepsy, so has been an emotional and difficult Christmas this year. This is a gentle reminder to all to be greatful to the family and friends around you. To cherish those dear to you, and to live each day with no regrets, as if it was your last. I hope this Christmas, was a beautiful one spent with those who

  42. Trying to keep some sort of order tonight so thought I'd start getting the lpg engine ready with the pump gears and valve springs as well as swapping all the turbo stuff over. Fairly productive night with the pump gears going in and cams coming out. The sump and timing case also got treated to a couple of heavy duty washes and some prep for painting. I think shoot the block with some nice fresh black paint too.

  43. Nothing like a nearly 40 degree day to do some tuning but it is what it is. I put the car back on e85 today and after a bit of frigging around with fuelling and adjusting the preload with a crowbar, I got the comparison below. After doing some lower boost pulls I put the wgdc map at 100% with a desired boost of 30psi to make sure it was 100% the whole run. I was running into fuel pump issues with the intank 525 dropping from 58psi on the reg to 50psi for the run. It was supposed to ramp up to nearly 85psi so there's something to fix/upgrade another day. The

  46. Engine came out of the car at last! Bit cruddy in the hard to reach spots on the k frame and some areas but plan to get in all the little nooks in the engine bay and give them a good tidy up and maybe even a lick of taxi white paint I was able to make a start on the gas engine and will focus on that first. Valve springs, oil gears and swap over my turbo specific stuff - sump, oil feed fitting, hard water pipes. The full rocker cover gasket kit and timing case kits are ready to pick up too so the last gasket will be the sump which I will confirm when I remove the it from the turbo. I'd like

The Graph I worked out no worries but to give you some insight work with high resolution on Torque whilst tuning as power is the product of Torque and the small gains will be amplified from Torque generation and that’s something street tuning will never notice Re create to Power for reference and printing purposes GREEN - GTX G2 3582 1.06 38mm P&F T3 11.8 psi actuator RED - Pulsar GTX3584RS 1.06 40mm P&F T3 15psi actuator So from that graph it’s
