Hey So I have a 03 BA XR6 Turbo and it seems to be having an issue that the mechanics can't seem to find so im coming here in hopes for answeres! After driving my car for about an hour or 2 it will go into I guess limp mode where I can rev it but it won't physically go anywhere you have to tap the accelerator to go maybe 5km if your lucky! I changed spark plus coils and it still happened I thought I had fixed it because I managed to drive it for 5 hours but the heater was going and the car wasn't getting to half way then I turned the heater off and about 30 minutes later it

Hi everyone, I currently own a G6eTurbo 2010 model with approximately 100,000 kms. I have done nothing to the car besides a rear muffler delete, besides this it is stock as a rock. The other week I was driving on an expressway travelling at about 100 kmh and then accelerated, not an overly hard acceleration but was overtaking someone so a reasonable push. As I put the power in the car lost power and flashed “Transmission fault” on the display. It put me into limp mode (3rd gear). I pulled over turned the car off and turned it back on and it appeared fine let me drive no

Hi there needing some knowledge and advice, I've got a 2003 ford ba xr6 turbo auto. I've owned it for around 2 and a half years now and it's always had problems, biggest one is when you put your foot down and hold boost for more than 3 or for seconds it starts to shudder really bad and go into like a limp or safety mode and wants to conk out, only way to stop it doing it is to feather the accelerator numerous times then goes back to normal. No engine lights come up or anything of that sort. I had the spark plugs and Coils changed when I first got it, changed the wastegate, that fixed it for a

Was driving my 2011 G6ET with trailer out of town couple of days ago and then randomly after 2+ hours driving (at night) the tail lights went out so pulled over turned it off and found the blown fuse and replaced to found the lights where back on so all seems fine so I went to start the car again to find the it wont turn over at all then faults had started coming up as - comms fault/airbag/seat belt and or pre tensioner faults. Anyone had this happen or know of something similar if so what was the cause/solution. Cheers

Hi all, I have recently replaced the turbo, new front mount, new piping. Basically had most of the induction and exhaust apart. I have put the car back together and its running but it goes into limp mode. Car wont throttle over 2-3000RPM, I figured I forgot to plug in a sensor. Went over all of the sensors and made sure they are plugged in correctly. All look fine. I have a SCT Chip with hand controller. Tried looking for the ecu to plug the hand controller into see if it has a diagnosis function to see what sensor is the issue but I couldnt find the ECU. Does the hand controllers have diagnos

Hello all, After a lot of researching and testing for the problems of my car going into limp mode it has been found that the ECU is cooked.. I have a 2003 BA XR6T 4 SPD AUTO and I am trying to replace the ECU. It apparently is the early ECU's which is a ABU214.. Can anyone help me/give me advice where I can find a second hand ECU that will suit my car, or any other options that are available to me? Thanks in advance! Also forgot to add I have contacted Injectronics and Logicar, and they both are unable to help.. The ECU is beyond repair, my only option is to replace it.. And NO ONE has any of

my ba xr6t is now in limp mode, no speedo, in sequential shift mode, will only go into 1st n 2nd than hit roughly 3000rpm and it shudders than feels like its stuck in third. things ive tried so far - had a mechanic scan it and showed speed sensor error, would not let us clear error and nothing shows up when error happens. - checked all fuses and relays - cleaned speed sensors on all 4 wheels. - ran flash tuner on all 3 modes plus factory, no luck - disconnected battery for 10 minutes - changed from 19s to 17s what suggestions of things to check next?
