Damn power outages.

Got back to the main office from our one up the road to darkness and people with blank looks on their faces.

Walked the floor with the update that Western power says 1:00 - 1:30 PM for restoration of service (this was just past 10:00 AM).

Then we find out our security is so good, we cannot get to our password safes easily to make an urgent update to the company and some staff permissions to allow over $2 million transfers.

So we finally get that sorted and the power comes on at 11:57.

Then we find nearly a quarter of the staff don't have their desktop icons - we re-direct profiles from C:\users to their network drive so everything get's back up and lock down writing to the C: drive so idiots don't copy important files there.

Still finding people with missing desktops and My Documents because group policy is not working for them.

Of course it has to happen on a Monday.

Getting pretty over this whole not being able to sleep thing. Was shattered last night when we went to bed, yet I was still awake at like 4:15am...so got up to go try sleep on the couch, but there was a really farking annoying bird chirping away...so ended up having to concede, drop a stilnox, put in some earplugs and pass out. WTF...why is something that should be so simple (laying down and going to sleep so farking hard?! [emoji20]

Have you thought about going to a sleep professional? Sounds stupid but they check over.you take a monitor home and then they view it in a few weeks.

Im sure there is a sleep centre in perth may be worth looking into

I'm actually booked in to see a psychologist who specialises in sleep disorders on the 17th of November. I hit the physiologist up that I was seeing before who helped me out with dealing with a whole bunch of other sh*t I had to work through previously and he recommended this physiologist who deals specifically with insomnia and sleep disorders...so see how that goes. I figure it's something I need to actually get help dealing with, it'll just completely burn me out otherwise.
