You would possibly be able to set it up like the new toyotas. As kyle suggested feed into the main tank via a seperate pump, then when the fuel gauge reads empty it is accurate. Toyota have gone away from the seperate switch, well they have in the prados and new HJ series. The way Kyle summarised is how nissan patrols work with their seperate tanks

Look dont let it put you off, everyone who has come here has learnt something. One of the lads on here is pushing 400kw through his BA original engine, he has just set it up well. Look on the forums and FB there is manual conversions for sale, otherwise if you can get a write of and take it for parts.
