  1. Have you tried stalling the car up a bit mate? My guage(obd) doesn't really make positive pressure just revving in neutral. Seems to go just 0 maybe 1psi at best. I can see vacuum as well so I know its working where as you can't. If I put my car in 2nd I can stall it up and build boost till the tyres spin also from those photos I can see about the only thing you didn't change is the abs module. The one in the wreck looks like it may be damaged but the module should come off the valve body(does on bombodores haven't messed with a falcon one). While I'm talking bombodores vt-vz had this bullsh*t problem where if the abs module went it would cause all sorts of weird issues on the CAN and everything would just go to sh*t basically. Happened on my vx. Not saying this is your issue and I haven't heard of falcons having that exact issue. But theoretically if you have swapped everything from the wreck and it was fine prior to being pulled down. You shouldn't require reprogramming of anything as you haven't mixed and matched. You also don't have traction control so that could weigh in somehow. Its worth a try.
  2. 0.6 - 0.7 seems to be the go, ive heard of 0.5 or even less which seems unnecessary. The larger the gap you can run without blow out the better. And the std ford plugs are the go. I use ngk ifr6t11 without issue and they arent all that expensive but probably a waste of money really.
  3. Could be your plugs mate in regards to the warm starts, my 20 year old victa 2 stroke mower starts first go when cold, will not start hot, I just have a spare plug in my pocket. Change it and it starts first pull. A colder plug may help. In saying that I do use the correct plug so there is probably more to it than that. Obviously victa 2 strokes and barras are very similar....lol
  4. Yeah the trick is to not touch it if you have NFI. Where did you take it bud so the rest of us know to stay away? 0.5l top up maybe but shouldn't be required, 2l fark no. Read this and you will understand why: http://www.zf.com/brands/content/en/zf_parts/technology_in_practice_zp/oil_change_procedure_zp/how-to-change-oil.html Now your armed with that knowledge, ring that muppet and tell him he is up for a new gearbox.
  5. Apart from the ute having a live rear end as opposed to the sedans IRS. Its really about what suits you better. Every thing else is same same.
  6. If its a manual, reverse switch. Auto, inhibitor switch.
  7. Flat shifting xr6 turbo: http://youtu.be/UD2Ltbm4-eM Saw this a while a go and have always wondered why I havent heard of more guys with manuals setting em up this way. So maybe its bs, it was recorded on a potato.
  8. Yeah that certainly does sweeten the deal. The 1 positive about a lemon is once you've replaced the entire car you will have a well sorted machine. Like the hammer that's had 3 handles and 4 heads. Fkn good hammer. In all seriousness I hope it doesn't give you to many dramas and its just these couple of things.
  9. I can only think of 1 reason you would swap a T for an N/A instead of selling and buying again.
  10. Firmer brushes result in more NVH, but helps with axle tramp. Choose your poison. Ford quite obviously cbf refining things when the cheap easy fix is soft rubber bushes. I did see a cradle once that had some bracket welded on it to solid mount the diff. Can only imagine how that would sound.
  11. ^^^ Given it shouldn't even be part of the equation under power. That's weird.... Zutututu
  12. Matty you should work for Kawasaki as a sales rep aye
  13. ^^^ yep. Bluetooth is meant to have a very small range but ive had mine connect approx 10m away through a brick wall.
  14. I would suggest always buying new as they are prone to it. My fg started doing it at 80 000k.
  15. Ill 2nd that matty, made had a v8 soarer, sounded unreal. Was bloody slow though..
  16. Been here a Lil while now but thought I should probably post some pics of my car that aren't of the missus accident damage or maintenance related.
  17. that's them

  20. Arent the 5 speeds the French thing they also used in the pj/pk rangers. If so I have one and its a pile of sh*t.(in my ranger)
  21. Screamer pipe
  22. I thought I saw you say in another thread the old box had a speedo output(OSS) which would be strange cause as ralph has mentioned on abs cars the vss signal comes from the abs module. And its the same input on pcm regardless. You only have code p0500 but your abs warning light is on which is lit directly from the abs module not the pcm so really you need to sort that out before trying to fix p0500. Im in brissy mate if you need access to a scanner or the manuals let me know.
  23. Did you use the abs module from the wreck or the one in the ute? And did the old box have an OSS output?
  24. Do the boot lip
