Joe dragging this up .. Im just about to drop some kesh on a gtw3884(6465) and was wondering if u have tested and released the internal gate version of the turbos u speak of here ?? sounds like a great bit of kit.. If u are selling them do they take a garrett rear housing and wastegate bracket etc as I already have all this as upgrading from an mta750 and can use it if so.. machining or small adjustments are ok and I can sort that out here as well as the oil drain mods.. Hope ya have something as sounds like the perfect setup im looking for between the mta 750 and mta 900 which I like but think its just a bit big for street duties.. cheers
  3. Andrew McArtney im sure his name is but wether he wants it on the list I cant speak for him sorry guys.. OH and stop adding people would ya Dan id like to be on the list longer than a bloody week :D hahaha

Mine (xcal3) does this also and I was advised by my tuner to try and load it when the car is completely cold or if u can help it cool it down as much as possible.. Hasnt let me down and loads straight up when followed this rule.. Mine has loaded when hot but like 80% of the time will hang and same as u had to return the car to stock then reload selected tune.. Im not happy about this for a near $1000 box in 2016 it seriously isnt good enough.. All round I think its a clunky piece of sh*t for what it is/does compared to lots of other comparable piggy back ecu's..
  7. I had the beige ones when I got car.. and they were terrible to keep anything near clean.. Ditched them and didnt look back at getting a black set.. ebay I think there were like $110 for exact aftermarkets.. And yeah got new clips from ford and bought extras to screw in the passenger side too..
  8. Yeah I think ill just stick with the stock converter and do the cryo'ing of inners with the Billet Input.. at least that way the inside is all done.. The $500 would be better spent on a file than restalling the stocker and when I want to change it its only a converer change and not box out and apart again..
  9. Hi guys as per topic ? Im planning on a major build on a ZF very shortly..( stage 2 clutches, seal kit, zip kit, cooler etc etc etc) Already stock-piling parts and am nearly ready for the teardown.. With many stories of Cryo'd Inputs lasting a matter of weeks im swayed on going a Billet input from CMS.. SO this leaves me with a $2k hole I hadnt planned on spending but as I know its money well spent im having to sacrifice a few things.. Was planning on Cryo'ing the input, intermediate and planetries for a few hundred and re'stalling the stock converter for now.. SO I will eventually upgrade to the CircleD unit but I want to know now if the stock item will be fine for a while and get me to where I want to be.. ??? Car is at 450-500kw on e85 so it will build a bit more boost and stall naturally a bit higher anyways but is only for a here and there track assault and want to get into the mid-low 10s so not after anything special for the time being until I do the CircleD.. So really will it handle ? as id rather spend the money it takes to re-stall it, on a tune for the ZF once its built.. Thanx in advance..
  10. All good guys I emailed ProFlow and they have advised me of the correct port plug to block it up for now.. its an4 7/16-20 for those wondering later.. If I change the expansion tank later I have the hose end to mate it to the tank.. sorted :D
  11. Cool that's what I was thinking too.. But which line is which ?? Plumb into front or rear line on the exchanger ?? And temps that low ?? I really didn't want the fan to work unless in a situation where it's getting too hot.. The flow underneath the car should give it enough cooling without needing to use the fan all the time yeah ?? I thought the trannys liked to work on 90deg..
  12. just measured it up and it looks like its a 1/4" orb thread.. 11mm thread OD with an o-ring.. any benefits of waiting till I get shiny expansion tank and just pluming it up then or leaving it as is and blanking it off ?? spewing on that as I just had all my fittings for another project sent from VPW today and it looks like they are only $4 and ill have to have it shipped now lol :(
  13. Some help please guys ? Just bought me one of these shiny ProFlow Thermostat Housings to rid the ugly cast bit.. So car is FG G6ET.. Now it comes with a hose fitting on it and no blanking plug to suit.. Iv seen on some of the B.series and other aftermarket jobs that they are plumbed back to the overflow with a line resting over the radiator shroud and have 2 outlets on expansion tank which would be fine. But as I only have 1 outlet on my recovery tank that's connected to the radiator I need to know what to do with this fitting ??
  14. reviving this topic for some advice if anyone can help... ? Iv decided to go a different route.. still risking the milkshake but added bonus of actually cooling both oil/trans fluid when needed.. Im going to replace the factory exchanger with an orange dot and continue to use this for the purposes of heating up etc so the zf wont freak out .. BUT also add this bloke to help cool temps of both trans fluid AND oil too at the same time.. (4 passes for the trans and 2 passes for oil) track days and a good booting on lap days will see both of these temps rise a lot and I cooked my oil last track day and lost a decent amount of oil pressure so I dont want to keep changing the oil as it broke down a fair bit.. going to plumb it in under the passenger seat and tuck it up there.. My question is : what line would be better to plumb the cooler into from the heat exchanger ? to give the most accurate reading before or after the exchanger has done its job ? the front or the rear line and which is which ?? hopefully this gets me a good cooling system when im into it .. will be set up with a Davies Craig digital thermo controller and set to about 93-95 degrees on the trans side and it will cool the oil too when the trans temp rises.. total cost about $700 all installed with new orange dot item too..
