  1. ok, so I managed to get a little more done today. I pulled the interior apart and installed so me more sound deadening. Started like this pulled out some more stuff. note to newbies. dont pull out the center console unless you HAVE to. pain in the ass I have installed some before... but wanted more. this was a previous effort I wanted to install the Dynapad on the floor, but there is already some molded padding there. although the dynapad may be better, wasnt keen on ripping out the standard stuff that was already molded and decently thick decided to go onto the rear speakers. I had these installed by an audio place in Perth. Not overly excited by the install but I guess it did the job at the time. One day I would like to make up some MDF/molded brackets that point them forward rather than towards the rear. this may answer your speaker questions @Boganspeed, ideally should have a bracket or something to fit 6x9's, otherwise will need cutting. So I installed Dynamat all through the internal pillar then used some spray adhesive to hold up the Dynapad. also put some Dynamat on the inner skin around the speaker hole. (I did both sides, but didnt see the point of doubling the photos.. And BTW, anyone know what the little thing on the wall on the bottom right with the wires connected to it). was al little disappointed when I saw this, the amp is 6 inches away, the speaker maybe another foot the other direction (under the passenger seat to the rear passenger speaker), and they decided to join the speaker wire in stead of running a new bit of wire. would have cost a dollar to do,,.... and I double matted the rear wall. also turns out the "new" Dynamat is black. gave it a tap and seems to sound better.... will find out tomorrow when I take it for a spin.
  2. Vic chat = 2 person convo. Would ask to be mod/admin but dont have enough access to a computer. Not saying I would get the spot, but I would ask. Kinda sad about the chat threads. was once a hive of activity, now is like main street in kings cross after lockout (for those who have followed NSW's politics about clubs/bars being open late). Even W.A is only a couple of posts a week atm.
  3. Petrol? Would expect a diesel to hold its value better. But in saying that trade in is never a good price. I almost traded in my 02 Subaru liberty for 3k in 2007 for a BF tornado.... Ended up selling it for 7k in 2011
  4. Great read, and result is mint. Would be very happy with it. Not a cheap ordeal but I think it looks tough.
  5. What I was comparing was that I paid 2k to go from 270kw to 330. But I spent almost 50k initially, which ment I had to wait many, many years as stock before I put money towards mods to increase power. And that spending more on a cheaper car is reasonable. I had the lowest powered car on many cruises because of that. But more so than anything I've realised a big number is nice, but how it gets there is more important. I love that you got more power out of less boost. Much better way to be
  6. I sometimes wonder the money thrown at the BA's to get 300 kW, but then realise I spent almost 50k on a car with 270rwkw..... Relative I guess when you put it that way
  7. Speaking of cruises........
  8. Made it look better in the photos.... They are good at that
  9. Tis a "real" electrician thing
  10. It's definitely worth that (well, in my opinion it is for sure), decent size and amazing views. Perfect for a family house, motox track and sheds for cars. There are 1/2 acre blocks in Perth for more than that, and I'd much rather be in the hills. Just a matter of having that kinda money. In my case I'd need to buy/sell a few places to get the equity to have for the land.
  11. Would be friggin amazing fluff. Got a spare 3/4 mill in your pocket?
