  1. Took it to FPT and Jamie got 6boost to weld the steam pipe extension onto the housing. I made up the screamer pipe (OMG) and it was something like $200 oh, took it to willowbank tonight. the 1/4 is harder then it looks! got 4 runs in . . .too ashamed to post slips LOL
  2. All fitted up
  3. I'll get pics with it properly fitted tomorrow. Will be screamer until I can figure out how I want to plumb it back into the exhaust. 19psi screamer ftw hahahaha
  4. went external wastegate!
  5. my brother has an fg turbo minus rear housing to get rid of. Done 60,000 km and had an earls line on it since the car was bought. pm me if you keen
  6. Whenever I'm at the workshop it's always on the hoist or tucked away in the corner, I wanna hear it run for gods sake hahahahaha
  7. speaking of. I'm sure mine are leaking atm and will have to check them all this morning :/
  8. I was doing over-grasp heaves yesterday for some pt. Tried to do one too many and pulled a muscle in my neck :( now I'm walking around with my head tilted to the right haha
  9. my brother has a 08 fg turbo ute with 400+rwkw. he got a bit over 900km out of a tank last wknd driving out west and back. I'm lucky to get 450 :((
  10. I changed diff oil and engine oil, put the big tune back on and thoroughly enjoying the car in the cooler weather up here :D
  11. I'll have a look this arvo. But failing that, any other ideas?
  12. Hey everyone, I started noticing this noise yesterday, sounds like it's coming from the front left of the car whilst driving. It's kinda like a hissing noise when I jump off the throttle. . no hoses have blown off. . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzZiQTBBahE&feature=youtu.be Thanks :D
  13. run the gauntlet . . . also, go the t400, tr6060 is so yesterday
  14. How'd you feel the gearing worked? Heaps left in the top end or maybe a ratio change in the future?
  15. Awesome result John! Credit to you, Jamie & 6boost!
  16. I was on the phone to Jamie today. I have a small plan in the works that will hopefully get completed by Brisbane Power-cruise time. :D
  17. I guess if I kept it as a standard conversion it would have been a bit cheaper. But when you buy a new gearbox, $2500 clutch, trutrack diff, engine mods tunes etc it adds up
  18. nope. it's never just a few grand. You need to think about gear box, tail shaft, diff. Better brakes wouldn't go a stray. Telling you right now. Save your hard earned $$$ for a T when you get off your P's
  19. none of that $hit really matters if you don't get it tuned to take advantage of that stuff. and even then it's debatable whether or not it's worth it. Take my case for example. Had mild mods and a tune when my ute was NA, made 185rwkw. Spent $30k on turboing and now have 410rwkw. Don't make the same mistake I did. Sell and by a turbo car when your off your P's
  20. I've read these go alright http://www.dragonslairmotorsports.com/online-store/#!/~/product/category=1399322&id=5698067
  21. and then you said N/A . . .
  22. mine looks like that ^^^ But I'll be taking it off again tomorrow because its still too tight :(
  23. on the turbo cars that power steering cooler is on the top of the radiator. On NA's its on the bottoms (like yours is) You will probably need to get the turbo one and mount it correctly as I dont think u can bend the NA' to fit
