  1. It wouldn't help at 80 in the 4spd as the car's at about 3200rpm in 2nd, but if it was from say 60 and you were in 2nd with a 3000 stally, you could stall it up at 60 and fry the tires. Not that you couldn't with 400rwkw anyway.
  2. Running an external trans cooler that bypasses the radiator is cheap insurance, not for the added power that you'll be making, but the fact there have been many stories of the radiator corroding and coolant mixing into your trans fluid, totally screwing the auto.
  3. I've only played Wii once but Wii sports, the one with boxing, bowling, tennis was pretty damn fun
  4. Oh yep, woops, the NA FG XR6 had a 5spd auto in it.
  5. How's an NA 6 going to beat a T when the XR8 can't even keep up?
  6. I've heard an ETM screamer and it sounded like armageddon was coming Is there an externally gated option that could somehow be fixed onto a split dump pipe?

I have terrible brake pad rattle since I've bought the car. Over bumpy roads, or roads made out of pavers, the pad rattles against the caliper and rotor. Shaking the front pads there's probably 2-3mm movement
  8. A few have been getting around on ebay, but for under 600 you can't go wrong. I'll be getting one
  9. Not better, just different. Centre muffler removed is more bassy while rear removed is more raspy.
  10. Old thread. Agree on the Homeworld series, great top down real time strategy game like Command and Conquer, except set in space.
  11. I think I'll check this game out once I finish with Assasins Creed 2
  12. I can only speak about an NA FG XR6 6SPD AUTO that's I've driven. I have a 4spd XR6T, and the NA FG 6SPD is a bullet off the line. Very quick and zippy up to around 35-40kmh, and then it just dies as there's no turbo. The 4spd is great in a turbo, but in an NA it would be too slugish and slow.
  13. How old are your shockers?
  14. I've been running 270rwkw for just over a year now, and it's only started slipping recently. Going in for a rebuild at the end of this month
  15. I'd say a high 12 if you can really peddle it.
  16. With the amount of heat soak you get during the heat a better intercooler is definitly a good idea.
  17. Yea I agree, what makes him think it's blown up? What symptoms and problems have you noticed from the turbo while driving your car?
  18. Made a few quick calls to a few car audio places, general consensus seems to be the fact that the positive battery cable is running alongside speaker wire causing interference and the speakers to whine. They told me to fix it I would need to move the speaker wires away from the positve battery cable that's running all the way down the passenger side of the car. Not sure if I could be bothered doing this, as when my CAI setup goes on the whine shouldn't be audiable. Gonna try and tackle this problem over the weekend, just wondering how easy it will be to find the wires/speaker wires that feed from the premium head unit to the factory amp
  19. I even get the noise with the audio turned off
  20. Hey guys, had my battery relocated to the boot by an auto electrcian, a quick glance as to how it was done is it appears the negative was grounded just under the fuse box then both positive and negative cables were run down the drivers side to the boot. Now the problem I'm having is altenator whine, but it sounds more like turning your tv to a channel with nothing on it (white noise) that gets louder. I have no voltage drop and car starts fine etc, but the whitenoise is ticking me off, as it sounds like my turbo has blown a bearing or something. Basically, should I disconnect the negative/earth that runs from the fuse box to the battery, and just ground it in the boot? Or leave it and ground it in the boot?

As already mentioned, my panic button went off after I took my remote into the bathroom when I was having a shower. Then the remote didn't work as well, and occasionaly would cause the panic horn to go off. Pulled the remote apart and cleaned/dried out all the moisture, now she's good as new.
  22. My rear view mirror rattles it's nuts off with my sub, if I grip it tightly it still rattles. Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm thinking of putting thick layers of leatherette between the mirror and it's backing case. Also a notice alot of noise comes through the rear parcell shelf, and something rattles there aswell. Tried taping loose cords/wires etc down with 100mph tape but it's still there
  23. Gameboy and Snes emulators. Always good to whip out Pokemon or Mario Kart
