  1. Gidday, It just has the standard clutch at this stage. I don't know how long it'll last but so far so good. It's the T56 manual with a Mal Wood short shifter (transmax z in the box & the mainlube stuff in the diff). Same colour as yours - Silhouette. Have you had yours down the 1/4 mile? If so what sort of times are you getting? Look forward to your pics...
  2. Hey Folks, I'm in Nelson. Have a '06 BAII F6 Typhoon, 6spd manual. Tuned by Torque Performance in Auckland to 322rwkw. Can't get 98 gas here in Nelson. It makes 295rwkw on the 96 octane tune but no where NEAR as much torque which is a bit frustrating...
  3. Hi Folks, I have a manual F6 (BAII w/322rwkw) and I find the shift quality really poor, I have a hard time driving it smoothly, especially peddling hard and have often missed the shift completely & ground the gears (2nd/3rd - 4th/5th are the worst). Will a shortshifter help with this? Does anyone have experience with any particular one & would care to recommend it? I know these boxes are not slick little numbers you might find in a hot Mitsi, but still anything to improve it would be good. Cheers !
  4. Hi folks, Just joined the club, had my F6 customed tuned, 440cc injectors fitted & CAT removed (we can do that here in NZ), it made 297rwkw on the 95 tune and 322 on the 98RON tune. Out of curiousity (it'll be a long time before I get near a strip), assuming reasonable cog shifting, approx what E.T & MPH could I expect over the 1/4 mile?. Ride is a BAII F6 with the 6spd manual & standard diff gears. I'd be really interested to hear from others making similar rwkw who have run theirs down the strip. In the meantime I'm enjoying dishing out cruel & unusual punishment to two otherwise innocent & perfectly good back tires.... Man that's fun isn't it?
  5. Thanks folks. Looks like I'II have to bite the bullet & run it on the 95 tune. That's going to be faily depressing having enjoyed all that mid-range grunt over the last few weeks but from what I've read I'm not about to trust booster to make up the difference between 95 & 98. Cheers!
  6. This is all abit of a worry. I do have a 95 tune & despite looking close on paper (it makes 297rwkw) in everday use it's no where near the 98 tune. The 95 tune makes all it's power from about 4750rpm to 6000. The 98 tune on the other hand has massive mid range grunt. I don't want to be driving around everywhere @ 5000rpm, like most people 90% of the driving I do is between 2-4000rpm, and that's where I like the power (or torque really). So I'd really like to use the 98 tune I was just hoping to hear that octane boosters would turn my 95 into 98 & I'd have nothing to worry about. Unfortunately I don't think that's going to be the case....?
  7. I have an F6 tuned to 321rwkw on 98RON gas. Unfortunately the town I will be staying in for the near future only sells 95/96. Can I use this fuel with an octane booster SAFELY to run my 98 tune, and which octane booster is the best? Thanks folks - much prefer the power on the 98 tune but don't want to kill the Phoon
