July 15, 201412 yr #10021 Can you not drive an uns roadworthy car to a mechanics for the purposes of getting work done. Mate ring local police station and ask. If you don't you won't know. You get out of this a hell if allot cheaper. f*ck Towies I hate them parasitic f*cking leeches. Well the ones that stalk accident sites anyway.
July 15, 201412 yr #10022 never asked the authorities ,but the more I think about it it would be illegal to drive with no tray . but then again my boss bought a truck with no tray fitted to it ,and we drove it around like it for 2 weeks with no problem
July 15, 201412 yr #10023 In victoria you need an Unregistered Vehicle Permit... I guess there would be similar elsewhere. You do need to contact the roads authority to get one though haha
July 15, 201412 yr #10024 In Vic you can get temporary permits for unregistered vehicles for that purpose. You'd think something should be available for registered vehicles.
July 15, 201412 yr #10025 $500 both ways is a lot of money going to phone the police now and find out
July 15, 201412 yr #10026 In nsw I remember you can drive an unregistered car to the mechanic to get it slipped.. not sure what the rule is in Queensland. I'd give your car a tow if you were in nsw
July 15, 201412 yr #10027 Gunna see what the police say and if they are now help QLD roads are the guru. I would be shocked if you couldn't get a permit.
July 15, 201412 yr #10028 the police had no idea if it is a offence or not ,they said I would have to phone main roads . bugger I am booked in for 8 am tomorrow
