You have a fair point but the bigger picture stops at one thing and that's legislation as Australians we are protected by certain legislations which make medical interventions and treatments a personal choice the only provision for forceable intervention is to be scheduled under the mental health act..... it is a personal choice and those who choose not to have it all the power to them. vaccinated persons still can pass on the virus... and in addition vaccine is only approved by the tga under an emergency provisional approval not a full approval.... if people don't want to be subject to the potential risks of taking the vaccine then I see no issue with that. I personally have had 2x Pfizer shots by choice although so I am in no way an anti Vaxer also who knows wether herd immunity will actually occur Pfizer is already saying that the vaccine isn't as effective against delta and new emerging trends.... and that we will need boosters. I won't be making any more comments about covid or the vaccine as I don't want to get into any arguments or heated discussion with anyone. The forums about cars and having a laugh and id like to keep my use of the forum that way stay healthy and safe everyone

Yea tbh I was sort of happy that the whole vaccine/no vaccine debate hasnt really kicked off on this forum... it's all we hear about these days. There's strong reasons for the vaccine as well as strong reasons to be against it... it should all be down to personal choice

Ba xr6 turbo terrible fuel consumption
Nice! Enjoy!,,, yea aftermarket cams can deffs cause a rise in fuel consumption but 30litres is excessive..... I use to have an LS2 Malloo with a Magnusson 2300 supercharger and decent size cam still wouldn't use 30litres driving around town.... that consumption figure can deffs be improved upon

Ba xr6 turbo terrible fuel consumption
Yea deffs needs to see a dyno and have everything checked over.... if it was tuned many years ago it's probably gonna need some adjustments... if it was tuned waay back in the early days the knowledge and best practice on how to tune them simply wasn't there... if it drives great now you mite be surprised how much better it is after retune. may I ask how much you paid for the car?

Process West Stage 1 Vs Plazmaman Stage 1
@JETURBO no disrespect my friend your one of the best contributors on the forum and your a legend.... but I disagree what do you mean if your phone rang 100 times a day you'd be ho humm about It f*ck that that's there job that's how they make an Income.... before I semi retired I'd take 50 plus calls a day plus 100 plus emails it's apart of the job if they don't wanna talk with respect f*ck them.... phone calls are still very much a relevant method of conducting business... If they don't wanna take calls of everyday joes then they Shouldn't sell to the public and just go through authorised dealers can't have it both ways

Process West Stage 1 Vs Plazmaman Stage 1
I'm very good on the tools..... but even if I was only average I don't think it would of made any difference in regards to installation of a process west stage 1 cooler I've done it on my car years ago and also a friends car install was fairly easy... can't speak for plazmaman never installed one of there coolers but they do got a very good rep... I got there Turbo side intake and battery relo that fitted all up no issues @Banto are there any variables we don't know about for e.g * Are you not so good on the tools? (Just saying not everyone is please don't take it as if I'm having a go I'm not) * Has the car had a big front ender in its life? Accident repair may not be perfect thus things not lining up? * Is the issue with just the piping? Or are you having issues getting the cooler to mount up as well?

Need help with build
1000cc is sort of the go these days until pushing big power like 500rwkw plus on E85.... some people have used F6 injectors they'll get close to maxing out the stock turbo on 98 but Idk how good an idea that is or not ( havnt seen duty cycle data) if your gonna be going for the big build just get the injectors now that will be big enough for the power you want later... saves paying twice

Need help with build
Puff is all correct on what he is saying... Although I will add.. if budget is becoming an issue sit down and start calculating what you can/want to spend and be realistic don't get to caught up on the power numbers.... getting a 1000hp car set up to be as reliable as a 1000hp car can be is real expensive... especially if your paying for all the labour (ask me how I know lol) once you start it really is a money pit... I'm not saying don't go for it I'm just giving some Perspective Personally if I was you I'd go for a Garret G35-1050 1.21 V band housing on a 6 boost manifold with a 50mm gate... youl make a real nice 850HP at the tyres with a sweet looking power curve... that's just my 2cents though....

ZF rules for mechanical sympathy
No launching it off the line and let of the throttle between gear changes (most of the time) 300rwkw you should be fine for a while but remember it's the torque that kills the box and turbo barras make plenty.. if the tuner tunes the box well you should get some good time out of it but keep it in back of your mind it aint gonna last forever (what mechanical object does lol) but budget 8-10k for a good solid build
-
ZF rules for mechanical sympathy
Your on the right track but in my humble opinion how long your ZF lives depends on how much power your making if your making 400rwkw plus it isn't gonna live years and years unless your the type to literally never get on gate... but who with 400kw drives like that? Im fairly good to my car but with 500rwkw it lasted about 25,000kays and now she's rooted and being rebuilt....

How to 6R80-erise my ZF
Im sorry im unaware of the technical details as I havnt really researched exactly what goes into the conversion... but here in Sydney most transmission places want 8-10k for a ZF build and all mention doing it as 6R80 hybrid set up... so to be honest I'm not sure if it's a massive markup charged by the Shops or what but I don't see you being able to do it on the cheap... mind you chances are I'm wrong.... please report back if you make any headway with doing it on abit of a budget

Reputable tuner singing a different tune to the forum...
I'm abit late to report in.. but when my car was tuned with dump, high flow cat and injectors way back... I didn't touch the porting and car was fine... and that was on an F6, heaps of people have done the mods you are intending to do without touching the flapper im not saying it's the right way or best way... but it's been done without issue a fair few times
-
Guesses before the dyno
If your gonna get a cat back and a high flow cat get the dump,, if money is a concern swap the catback for the dump pipe, stock catback will flow enough for a standard turbo, youl make over 300 for sure if your cars healthy on those mods... you don't need the turbo side intake at that level but Itl make the car sound heaps better up to u if you wanna drop the coin.... whos Tuning?
