I think 30mm is too much on the fords and you'd unbalance the car as the rear would be way softer. It's the rear end needs the most work IMO. I'd go 27mm on the front, 22mm on the back, firmer springs and shocks.

But not hose 20's, they are pretty ordinary.

Ford drivers are are worse IMO. They are usually old farts and you can guarantee that if there's a long queue of cars a dickhead in a ford is holding everyone up. However, they all pale compared to camry and corolla tossers.

VE sales are tanking, Aurion sales are tanking, BF sales are non-existent. I'm don't think the FG will do much for Ford I'm afraid. If it had been a much less conservative upgrade on the outside, had reduced weight, had more efficient packaging and reduced the ridculously long overhangs etc it might have had a fighting chance. I guarantee other than great sales for the turbo brigade, the FG will not even sell as well as the VE. Ford knew the uproar over the size and weight of the VE and had knew large car sales were plunging and still managed to irresponsibly increase size and weight, who cares if it improves economy a few %. I cannot beleive they still released such a car in this climate. The Mondeo is actually the size the FG should be. It's got a longer wheel base, is huge inside yet is over 200mm shorter and much lighter. Ford Australia has been crippled by the parlous state of Ford America's finances and their ultra conservatism. The FG is what I call a flawed gem; aspects are brilliant, others are ordinary.

Since when does a BF XRT doe 13.3-13.4 for the 400? That's BF F6 times. The FG smashes it to a 100 and over the 400. Even the grandmas at Wheels got 13.3 in the G6ET with 2 up and half a tank of gas.

Although the FG looks better than BF, here's what sucks. Unlike the VE Late model camira which reduced the overhangs, especially the front, the new Falcon has pathetically gotten even longer overhangs. Wheel base is up 9mm, but overall length 25mm. The overhangs on the BF are huge and goes against best practice these days. To make them longer is a joke IMO. Car length should have been reduced 100mm min. Have a look at the Mondeo; it's got a longer wheelbase than the FG and is 200mm shorter.

I buy it, but only as a turbo and hopefully 100kg lighter and 8" shorter. Sick looking coupe. Ford a dickheads for not making a coupe and now they are broke we'll never see anything like one.

Friggin Mondeo weighs over 1600kg, only about 200kg more than the other cars in it's class. It's pretty papthetic knowing all the sh*t Expensive Daewoo got over the weight increase on the VE and the pathetic sales figures of big heavy gas guzzlers, that ford despite actually cutting weight in the engine bay by 32kg, managed to still make it 10kg heavier.

So why is the road toll falling (and no it's nothing to do with speed cameras). Cars are more powerful than ever.

Power is awesome, but I'm surprised with all the improvements torque went up a paltry 15Nm. Take a BF Typhoon and make the same changes to boost and improve the IC etc and I'll bet torque would go over 600Nm. I'm guessing they think the ZF is near it's limit and wimped out on the torque. A 600Nm box was never going to be enough for an F6! They should have tried for the newer ZF box rated to 750Nm. Oh well I better get my plenum done soon to ensure I stay ahead of the stockies.

Well if the GE6T can do 5.1 and 13.4 the FG F6 should be able to do 4.8 and 12.9 and that will be farking amazing for so little dollars. That GE6T is a real sleeper; just slap some classy 20's and a set of real brakes, not the crap ford fit and it'll be a killer. Even better when it's edited.

2kw on paper but it'll feel like 40kW on the road. The new FG GT will still get hammered by the Clubbies. Ford should've dumped the V8 and spent 10 the money saved making the turbo 6's sound better and made the f6 320kW, 600Nm.

That's strange because if you look at the taper on the end tanks, there seems to be little chance for it to extend much further, unless the end tanks are very thin at the top.
