Love this thing, great skids and very tidy car !
-
buy a 44 of it, trust me the E85 and the GTX is a brilliant combo ! You will never want to change back to 98, I hated swapping back, losing 55kw is never fun. Need to figure out a better way to switch the fuels, I am working on something to make it easier but lack of time means its going to be slow, just working on a switch and a line I can pull on the car, and just pump new fuel into the tank and return into another tank until its bled, but again its a pain in the arse either way.

ring harrop and they will tell you exactly what part, there is october sale on now too, cheap cheap

+1 for SCT tune, Ring mick and Bel at Pitlane, best experience with a performance shop bar none. Have a chat with Mick and explain your thoughts and goals and see what he has to say

Opt3+ holds up to my 450KW E85 tune pretty well, but then again I dont do clutch dumps or anything silly, has held up to 400KW for the past year no worries. Its never slipped once and is as light if not lighter than the factory clutch. I have crappy rear tyres so the only thing that chews out are the tyres, cheap insurance for now.

For a laugh we put a full spool in a friends Cortina wagon, parking it was a complete joke and driving in the wet was just dangerous. If its a daily driver or carries family members I would seriously be thinking twice about it

compressor housing, used the old brass fitting from the last turbo and drilled and tapped it in there.

Single Borsch 044 To Aeromotive A1000

Good point, didn't think of it like that. I agree with you, go the A1000 if you got spare coin then go to the dyno and ensure all is well. -

Question, why would you upgrade to the A1000 if the 044 can be measured to prove it does the job or not? surely the upgrade to the A1000 has got to be worth more than a dyno check with fuel return being measured? Just a thought thought and no disrespect intended. -

Hey mate, you would really need to check to see what fuel is being returned from the rail to see if you have enough capacity. Not sure what tuners in sydney do this. This will see if the system has enough capacity with the current setup. Ratter should be able to provide you more info on this. -
as above its cumulative driveline lash, normal but you can drive around it, if you are still under warranty you can push ford to fix it, but 99% of the time they will state its within spec.

spend cheap get cheap results, spend smart, get smart results. Set a budget triple it then you have a workable figure. Not trying to discourage you but I have only just finished my 400kw build (engine only) and I am starting to have to repair/rebuild other things down the line. Seriously sit down and figure out how much you can afford to spend divide it by 3 and use that as the budget for your build, cause it always blows out, no matter how good you are at money management. Injectors, cooler, fuel system, intake, exhaust, valve springs, gearbox, clutch, diff, turbo. Or as Ralph says just throw a new diff bush in it.... If you are handy with tools you can save money on labour so long as you do it properly. If you are literally going to do cheque book racing then add labour to your build and it will add up, plus tuning. If you want my opinion, don't do it if its your daily driver unless you are prepared for the repair and maintenance regime that comes with owning a car with that much power. Just my 2c

From what I understand (normally not much) the factory exhaust wont support 500kw and the super charger wont support it either, upgrades these two things and the ones mentioned above and you might have a better chance. But with factory exhaust these cars still push very respectable numbers.
-
has it thrown any codes?
-
Be realistic in your goals, if you have enough to support it. Another car had the following and still only made low 470's on Eflex fuel Herrod Intercooler kit Yella Terra high boost snout 100lb injectors custom fuel system with twin 044 fuel pumps Xforce full exhaust system with Verex mufflers the car made 474rwkw on eflex and 472rwkw on BP 98 Not saying mick is not a genius on the dyno, but he cant make something from nothing while trying to keep all your engine bits in the one block.I am betting your car makes around 430-460kw range which will be absolutely mental to drive. Good luck and I hope however it turns out that you are happy with the results.

I am going to run factory dunlops Just got the Sportmax Sp01's so instead of breaking gear boxes and diff's I can offer line marking services. Will post times as soon as I have a slip -
Interesting, I reset my Ipod and problem went away. Not to say I dont need to have the module upgraded, just a quick work around until you can get into Ford

I had one fail on me earlier this year, Xforce warranted it either way, but should not be happening.
