Sports Bar Removal - Soft Tonneau Question
unclewal replied to stevetjet's topic in Falcon Utes (UTEopia)
Many places to go, ring Castle Hill exhaust and performance, they tuned my ute a few times (different mods added each time) and couldnt be happier with Dale and the guys down there -
how much extra would the Varex muffler add to the cost of a 4" system and how much noise does it really take out?

Process West Standard Fuel Line Size
unclewal replied to lee91g's topic in Engine Management & Fuel Systems
-6 is what a standard screw in check valve is off an 044 pump, I have two on my surge tank (for twin pumps) and they are -6. Check out MSCN in Seven hills they have them but they are more than $45 each http://www.mscn.com.au/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=471 -
Bracket ? Can you be more specific which bracket you are referring to?
-
+1 me too, I have one on my FG fits no worries, also solid results.
-
Ring Matt from race brakes Sydney and ask him he will tell you straight up if they will fit or not.

that's my next project as well before I get an E85 tune, No offence to mal but his exchange price is a little rich, but I know it being a mal product it would be tough as nails and exactly as he desribes it, but cant part with that sort of money just yet when there are other things to be done. Speaking to Veva about his and he got his resleaved and I think tougher centre for about $450ish take to them and then pick up 4 days later.

Similar questions, there are so many out there already if you dont want to buy one you have to be able to build one and weld pretty well and by rights design something just as well. Better of spending the money on a system already done unless you have the skills required ot build one. My tuner built a custom one for his ute but then again he can weld and set it up under the tub in his ute and got it all done for $500 for the bits then just did another $250 for the lines and it was done and done well.

All the injectors are plugged in correctly? It should start after about 10 seconds if that. Something been done wrong. If you bypass the new surge and plug the lines back in where they should go does it start?

My factory FG pump was quiet as, in a ute too.

try twin 044's and a single in the tank, sounds like bee's when they are hot

Malwood makes a tramp kit but I heard of a guy that got them put them in and still had tramp dramas, they were pretty expensive too, If this doesnt fix my issue I am getting Caltracks
-
Take it back, drop it off, tell them to sort it, pick it up and drive home happy when fixed. you pay good money for this tune, make them make it right .
-
Pat has given me some ideas of what we can do to resolve the tramp. Not a fan of the Caltracks purely because it may make the ride pretty harsh in the car. Going an alternate option with new shocks/saddles/bushes. If I can book in with Pat shortly I should have a firmer idea of what will and wont fix this issue. Hoping this solution fixes it. Will post back once I know where its at.

I am in the same position, I get a heap of tramp and I am worried about a bent axle. I have heard Caltraks are brilliant, but not sure of the legalities and where one could source it from. I am going to have a chat with Pat @ wholesale suspension and see what he says. Will post back when I hear some info.

I have a GTX3582R which is Billet 61mm Wheel with 1.06AR rear housing bolts to the factory everything except will require either a battery side intake or custom pipe to fit the standard cross over as it has a 4inch inlet into the turbo. I also hear really good things about the precision turbo's that Dragonslair motorsport is working with. The GXT3582r is basically the GT3528r with a billet wheel and bigger comp cover, better spool and approx 20% more flow (so I am told) There are a few making over 450RWKW without much stress. Depending on what you want there are a heap of optoins, also depends on your budget as to what turbo you get to achieve your goals.

I think to bend a rod you need to be pushing a shed load of boost, I think Chris from Rapid found this out, pretty sure he pushed it and bent/broke a rod some time ago. Not sure about the ZF I think the only thing not to do is have the ZF tune done when making that much power it typically snaps input shafts with some sticky tires I have heard. I have a manual and just upgraded the clutch and flywheel to support the power, next thing I need is diff and a driveshaft replacement cause this one is farked. Being a mechanic you are in a good position not to spend too much money when/if rebuilding needs to be done. I want to put oil pump gears into mine but the cost is pretty extensive and I have heard so long as you dont rev the pi55 out of them regularly you can safely run the factory gears for a while (atleast till I can afford to upgrade anyway). Ithink the next upgrades for me is suspension/brakes and driveshaft before more engine mods

There are quite a few out there (myself included) running 400+kw on a factory motor, not sure how long it will last but its my daily driver and barely gets 200KW shoved through it on a daily basis so should last longer than I have the car. So long as you prep all the supporting mods and service it regularly and consistantly, you should have zero problems. Safe power limit would be what ever your wallet can afford to fix if something were to go wrong. So if you cant afford to fix it, dont modify it. 400+Kw is heaps of fun but hard on components, driveline especially, rear tyres need changing alot more often than when I bought mine. This is just my 2c though,I am sure others will have something to say.

That looks horn ! I would pay good money for that tray as I am sure would a heap of people.

Yep will be fine, I did this on my old car that was turbo'd as its MAP sensor it will be just fine.

Rota Wheels, Who's Got Them And What Size's Ba-Bf
unclewal replied to smXR6's topic in Wheels and Tyres
Nelsonian101 Where did you get them from and what did it set you back if you dont mind me asking? -
Follow old oil line to turbo, disconnect, remove any restrictors also, screw in line into turbo, follow other end back to the right hand side of the block, unscrew steel line and fit Motorsport connections oil line filter in its place. There is a sticky on how to around here somewhere

Will chat with the exhaust place today and find out what they reckon, make a hell of a lot of turbo spool and waste gate noise with that crack being there, sounds like a truck and spool is loud as hell. Just want it fixed before it falls off and I cant drive my car to work.
