  1. Drove a new E3 GTS 325 on the weekend and I must say the tricks that thing has are amazing. Little tweaks can be made to the way the car rides all thorugh the touch screen as well as a wireless iphone intergration for phone and music. Pretty cool stuff and I was extremely unhappy to climb back into my car where all I have to play with a and iPhone intergration cord lol. I will say though for a 6.2l 325kw manual it didnt really excite me. It has go and I really shouldnt be comparing it to my car but for 90-100k fully loaded I would be dissapointed. I would never compare it to the big euros like an M3 or C63 but I would assume this is where HSV see their products competition. Maybe they should look a little closer to home p.s The noise of the Bimodal at WOT and 5k+ is out of this world.... For a factory car made locally of course
  2. Jesus, I thought I was bad taking 7k negative equity into my loan.. 20k? ouch.. But ye, the new GT looks like a classic!! Or a clubby... They really are a nice car
  3. Soooooo.. what an amzing car... About time hey.. I feel sorry for 2 groups of people right now 1: People shelling out almost 100k for a new GTS 2: Anyone who owns a current GT, sorry Zap.. You would think with a tune and maybe new pipes you would have a serious daily driver for next to nothing..
  4. yes... Shouldnt do that
  5. Cruise for charity?? Maybe that's what it was. Dropping the lady friend of this morn I saw about 50 "tuned/riced" holdens coming down the eastern away from the city around 11am
  6. Mate I live in Carlton but im happy to help if you need. Just let me know how. Thanks
  7. I know what you’re saying mate but I don’t get you, sorry. That’s not a bad thing I’m just different. I guess with my car I enjoy it quite a lot as it has everyday usable power which doesn’t get me into a lot of trouble. I think the lack of understanding or appreciation I have with wanting a car like that is the fact I wouldn’t want to change my driving style to compensate for my car if that makes any sense.
  8. I dont understand why you would want to drive a car that has that much power anyway, well as a daily driver at least. You yourself say its dangerous and traction is a joke. Sorry I just dont understand the point to the thread. Is it to boast about your unusable 500rwkw or to make others feel bad for taking their mates for joy rides? PLS EXPLAIN!! ty
  9. Is the car an F6 or just a T?
  10. When you say street car.... lol Seriosuly tuff stuff mate. Not for me but totally mental, well done.. And as much as I love the plates they really dont do the thing justice. People will think you only have 1000hp at the fly which is nothing these days am I right??? lol Once again, mental...
  11. I have owned both in the last 12 months. Ford has been nothing but perfect, modded with 2,000 on the clock and now has 18,000. Drives like a dream, auto is beautiful and the power fantastic. In standard form the VE was extremely boring to drive. Handles rather well but the power delivery being very linear gave a very dull driving experience. I had some pipes put on which make things a little more exciting. The car was also in for repair 4 times in the 10 months I had it. Strange thing is though as im a little older now (lol) if I had to do it again and buy a car for my fam I would probably go the VE based soley on the aesthetical appeal. The Ford in stock trim is soooooo much more fun but whether or not you need that is debateble. If you could have both you would..
  12. Where do people usually go these days?? Havent been out in ages kinda keen.
  13. I guess Dirty32 made my point for me. I remember a case when a well known member on this forum took his car to a VERY well known tuner to have a few mods done and as it pulled in 4th gear BANG at about 4000rpm and 280 odd rwkw!! No fault of the tuner what so ever and they woudlnt have known the car had some serious issues internally without teaing it down. This car was also one of the most well looked after, over serviced and maintained vehicles I have ever come across. You have all kinds of turkeys doing funky sh*t to their cars from using generic tunes to runnings around with full piping and cooler kits for months before getting the thing on a dyno. I agree its a gamble allowing a work shop to run your car up without some sort of security but that's why you build relationships with these people before hand. As for G&D, I had my car moded over 12 months ago and at that time they had little if any experience with the FG but I got to know Brett and the guys down there a little and took a chance. 15,000km after the mods and the car still runs like a dream with well over 300. Get over 500 to a tank with a lot of city driving. Service was great they were on the phone at least 2 times a day talking to me about the car and explaining any changes that the needed to make. 2 thumbs up.
  14. When my old T got some work done at Nizpro I signed one. I have no problem at all with it as I only ever take my car to trusted agent. Why should they be responsible if your car sh*ts itself on the dyno due to poor maintanence or a poor tune that might have been previously done by another work shop?
  15. SALUTE TO YOU!! f*ckin great write up mate. This is what its all about... I hate it when people tell me its just a car.. No it f*ckin isnt!! I am who I am due to the time I have spent over the many years giving my blood, sweat and tears to these things. Whether it be with my best mate or my old man the lessons you learn spending time enjoying a common interest like cars are endless. There goes my sob story deeply sorry to hear about your loss. Good work mate, stay safe im sure that's what would be most important to him.
  16. Saw an FG F6 plates JIMBO? I think when I was going to pick up my car from HPF.. Had a zorst I think sounded a bit loud lol
  17. Jesus mate it worries me you need to come onto a forum for that kind of advice. I would have thought your parts list would be settled on a build like this. But anyway to answer the question I have Plazmaman, great bit of kit and they do have a lot of T's running big hp using their gear. Get on the phone talk to the guys down there see what they can do.
  18. Love the car HATE the plates... Can we please have people stop calling their cars weapons??? Apart from looking like a tool it doesnt really potray the image of safe cautious driver which im assuming most of us would be driving these hipo cars.
  19. Just like 10 years ago when we were doing in VL turbos... How far we have come hey??? :-/
  20. But I guess that's what my question was.. I have had big systems in most of my other cars but never in a UTE. What can I fit and what should I be looking at in terms of gear. I have had JL, Pioneer, Kicker, Sounstream, Phoenix Gold but not for some time. I dont know whats good value for money these days. Just say my budget was 2k nothing over the top.
  21. I have an FG ute with blah blah blah mods and Xmount of power.. BORING!!.... I want Metal to sound good.. What do I need.. Sound is stock basic pov pack. Seriously..

Try a band called Silverstein then.. Much like these guys but a bit more "punk" I like them a little more than BFMV. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPp3vkgv5-Q&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cdaGSCeTcc&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEWHPI0cRHM&feature=related (LOVE THIS TRACK!!!!)Oh yes Disturbed... Listen to them daily on the way to and from work.. Tool, Perfect circle.. Its alll good

BFMV is a bit EMO but I do have the "Poison" album and love it... In Flames is probably my fave metal band of all time and Cloud Connected is one song I listen to over and over. Children of Bodem are also rather awesome... A couple other you should check out... Grab the first Album "Total Brutal" its a classic. Second album "Double Brutal" not as good. These guys are just pure unadulterated 80s hair metal and totally kick ass. Worth looking at all 3 links, trust me.. (clean version but you get the point) Let me know what you think I have a million more, my boss is in a pretty cheesy rock band and has a couple of albums so all we do is scope out music all day long.
