Get the housing and mani surfaces faced and fit a new gasket with some decent mechanical locking devices on the studs.....It WILL crack again if you weld it

Well dads been a welder/fabricator for 30years he reckns u have to oxy the thing up first get it hot then weld it with 55 nickle rods and it wont

Facing and bolts seem like a temp measure as this is the 2nd falcon ive had to do this on hi boost has its draw backs and I really dont want to do it again PITA job but this should seal her nicely

No disrespect to your Father but how much welding of castings has he done? What have you got set up to keep it warm once it's welded?

Also faced flanges/gasket/locking studs ain't a temp fix if done right. I'm also on my 2nd falcon that runs over 20lb's and I'm yet to have a gasket blow out.

lots of prep will help, bulk grinding first, then oxy for ages, make sure the heat is right through everything.

But then you'll need a jig for the manifold to head innit

Jet has taken the it moves and shouldn't = gaff tape; doesn't move and should = WD40/hammer thing to a whole new level.

What gaskit,nuts do u recomend

On my ba I used norlock washers and new studs and nuts but I didnt have it lOng after I did that

Whats caused the faces to warp anyway and what will be different this time ?
