Yeh I've seen the usual like the pw and the pwr. There was one a while ago about someone started making something bigger that still had no cutting but people just stopped talking about. Its all good. Either someone in one of the threads it was mentioned in will finally have some news soon or I'll just go one of those haha. In other news it's beautiful weather in nsw this morning. Time for a drive in a clean car I think.

Hey guys has anyone heard anything about these new stepped no cut coolers everyone was talking about a little while ago. I've been holding off on buying anything until I heard more about it but it disappeared. I wanna get the biggest thing I can while keeping the car legal and they sounded promising.

Is this a sign of bearing wear in the turbo?

Supposed to have 15 30 and 45 K services free. Went for my 30 yesterday went to pick up the car and ended up having to pay just under 400 for the service cos someone hasn't entered into the computer that the 30 and 45 are freebies. Spent two hours driving to the original dealer I got the car from with my paperwork and get my money back only to be told they'll call me. Still haven't heard. Gonna call them tomorrow and try not to get too angry. Not happy.

I do agree with the cornering issue haha. But yeh I reckon he just wussed out.

I think he expected to be able to jump in and be on top. Also I don't think the fans accepted him the way he wanted. I think it was him not liking it.

Thanks heaps for the info Phil. I put my thoughts together properly this arvo and checked it out. Turns out it's the power steer pump. Only does it once it gets hot and go lock to lock it quitens and comes back. And yes I checked fluid haha. I played with the pulley while the belt was off and it's crunchy but steering works perfect.

So annoying when you hear something and spend however long stressing a rods gonna come out of the block till you find out what's actually happened.

Not the greatest but found out what sounds a lot like timing chain flapping around is power steering pump. Pretty dodgy at 27000 but glad a guy who probly doesn't care at Ford won't be playing inside my engine. Just bolting a new pump on. Yay haha

Maybe we should just run delvac oil like the subaru boys haha

It's a manual so no flexi haha. Thanks though. I started it to video the sound and it didn't do it so gonna be one of those stupid sounds that runs away every time you try and track it down haha.

Just had my car idling and sounds like the timing chain is hitting the sides of the timing cover. Cars only done 27000 and stock. Goes away the second it revs but once it settles the rattle eventually starts again. Sad face and vodka tonight me thinks.

Na I change the oil every 5k but I got first 3 services free so I take it to ford every 15k for warranty and it's free oil haha. The 1500 and 15000 it came back with a stripped sump plug I had to change the next time I did it. Not happy. I've noticed that after 5k just about every car starts to use oil. I think it's because the oil starts breaking down more and more so it burns it.

I might actually have to ask what they used next time haha. Got my 30k coming up soon I'll inquire if the invoice is correct this time.

Yeh I've seen that ford recommends 15w40 and I figured that's what they'd be using cos it's heaps cheaper for them. I've read a few threads on oil and I'm not gonna get involved cos a lot of people seem pretty passionate about what's better haha. Was just mainly curious what dealers were using.

Just curious what ford dealers are putting in other people's cars. I'm using penrite racing 10w40 but ford at my free 15000 actually used castrol 0w40. I don't have a problem with that I just didn't think they'd actually use a full syn for customers free service haha. Ford must be splashing out. This is central coast ford in west Gosford NSW. What are other people's experiences? And my car is 13 fg turbo.
