I am sure someone will tune in soon and answer your question, but I had issues with cruise control being turned on. So when you press the cruise button, you normally have it light up on the dash. you then press the + or - symbol to set the speed. Well mine will not light up on the dash when pressing the cruise button. It would simply flash a few times and disappear. when you first start the car and start to drive, you have to press the brake pedal at least once, before you can activate the cruise feature, otherwise it will just flash at you. Apparently this is a safety design by ford????????

Dude, you have made the gears in my brain tick over yet again. When I thought there was no hope of getting a hoist in my garage, you put this up in the forum. The Redmount medium rise scissor lift looks the goods and would fit in my garage. since I don't have the much space in my garage, if I got one of those and did not bolt it down, I could move it around in the garage. That would make my life soooooooooooooooooooo much easier. since lowering my car, I am having so many issues with the trolley jack. sounds like a good reason to give the trolley jack away and getting a hoist instead.

Why not do a conversion then? Why not put a Barra engine into the SS???

Please keep in mind that I am not recommending to use the standard pistons in any way. I simply said that the guys at MT use the same brand, but a different piston that is a better model.

GHP, I ambpretty sure that when MT here in Perth do an engine up, they buy the same brand pistons that already come in the car, but a different model. I think it is mahal or manely pistons that the XR6T comes with. They stick with the same brand but get the next model up. Apparently it helps ease the work or something. What ever you choose, I will be watching with eagerness to see the end product. I am glad you are getting it done right the first time and planning for future upgrades. F u c k ...................... In regards to what Steve said, only Australian stock will work with our cars. I too thought about buying from the US and then found out that it would be an expensive boat anchor. You buy one model and I believe it will work with all our XRs, GS and GT. What plans do you have?
