  1. depending on the model some came with those its supposed to help noise levels
  2. today I just changed over my passenger side engine mount to stop my annoying vibration on idle, it was a fairly simple job took about an hour, bolts were easy enough to get to but I cant find anywhere on the net the procedure to change out the drivers side mount, I really don't want to take my turbo off again just to get to the top bolt if I don't have to. so I was wondering if anyone has changed over the drivers side mount and not taken the turbo off, any pointers or tips would be great. or even just to clarify that it is necessary to take the turbo off would help cheers
  3. if it only has 8k on it at the moment it would be fine I would check/change the coolant though as the ford stuff doesn't stay up to spec for very long
  4. over the last few days I ended up replacing my front upper and lower control bushes and rear control blade bushes with superpro items saving me $600 labor. I was always worried about pressing the bushes in myself thinking a press is needed but after getting talked into it by a mate to have a crack it turned out to be a peace of piss all I needed was a hammer, chisel, 2 jacks, socket set and a small vice. out of all the mods my car has got the best mod to date is those control blade bushes as I can finally do skidys without the rear end banging about and feeling like its gonna fall off the car, also its completely stopped axle tramp couldn't be happier with the new bushes they should be standard on turbos as the stock bushes are so heavily voided its ridiculous.

  7. I have a bf xr6t modded with the works full zorst, intake system valve springs, ported wastegate ect running 13psi. well I finally got around to buying and fitting a boost guage today so when I went out for a test drive today she holds 13 psi perfect through 1st to 4th didnt try 5th. now the problem I was just fukin around had it in 6th gear (manual) put my foot down at 1500 rpm just so I could watch the boost rise well 2400rpm came by and 13 psi came by but it didnt stop not even the slightst bit, with in a second it was over 20psi so I took my foot off thinking wtf tried it again just to see if I was a once off but nope strait back up. anyone want to enlighten me as to y it does it in 6th gear with a ported wastegate

  12. need some help I have gotten as far as taking the 4 bolts out and loosening the 2 that are fouled by the oil return line but it seems my exhaust housing is stuck solid onto the core of the turbo so far I have tried hitting it with a mallat wd40 trying to turn it but it just wont budge. sooo does any1 have any ideas or is it best to just give to my tuner to pull off as I dont know how how easy it is to break the fins if I smash it to hard with the hammer?? sean
  13. hows your coolant looking is it still green or a rusty colour, corosion can sometimes block part of the radiator making it less efficient

  19. check the sliders on the calipers they might be jammed if they both move freely then just see how the next set of pads go if there jammed u will need to unjam them so they move freely
  20. im putting my money on the counsil's insurance company denying it. I scraped the sh*t out of my bumper doing less than the speed limit through trafic lights because there is a huge dip in the road on the opisite side which you cant see until your to close to do anything about it, the car bottomed out at stock hight doing $550 of damage, I took pics time date all the stuff the council asked for and they were very nice about it 2 weeks later I get a letter from the insurance company saying they were forced to decline the payout because I was the first person to complain about it. I kept hasseling them about it didnt get anywhere so I got my revenge on the council another way
  21. depends how much power you are going for if its really big numbers get the twin 3" if its 300-350rwkw twin 2.5 will do fine its probably cheeper to.
  22. try some electrical contact cleaner on the wire conections going onto the horn, this has happened to a few falcons I have owned it will be fine 1 day then not work the next, spray it on the conections and it will most likely work again. if that doesnt work you will have to see if theres power at those conections with a circuit tester if theres no power there test if theres power at the fuse and go from there
