  1. As in you need to take the actual assembly apart to access the inside? Not sure if these are the same but on some of my previous vehicles you need to heat them up (bake in an oven) to let the glue be able to pull apart but I'd check with someone else first...
  2. Cheers pazzo hope it sorts some of your issues out. What oil are you going to run?
  3. Ive owned a few t56 but none have been like this, I don't think its normal, all the other gears are fine just second.
  4. Yes its worse when cold but still there when warmed up. I'm going to try mainlube gear oil at 30000km and see how that goes.
  5. Hi everyone I'm having some issues with my 6 speed manual. It is an 09 xr6t ute. When changing from 1st to 2nd it is hesitant and ever so slightly grinds. The best way ive found around this is to slowly pull the gear knob from first gear into neutral for a short time and then into second (if that makes sense). The ute had 8000kms when I bought it and changed all fluids straight away. I used castrol transmax z. Now has 27000kms but has done it ever since I purchased the vehicle. Any advice is appreciated cheers.
  6. Hi everyone, I'm having some intermittent problems (once every 2 or so weeks) with my 09 xr6t. First is It has the colorscreen and im not sure if its a hardware or software issue but sometimes while driving the screen will turn itself off and then back on. Its not just flashing on/off its actually turning off because the animation appears like when you start the vehicle. Weird thing is that the sound doesn't cut out. And the second issue is that sometimes the climate control will just stop blowing cold air con and just blow normal air out. Only does this rarely and after a while the cold air will flow again. Have read that a stuffed battery can cause havoc but have had it tested by an auto elec and he said the battery is fine and charging properly. Does anyone know if there is an ICC update to resolve this? Cheers
  7. Hi all, does anyone know how the sat nav inputs display to the screen? I have an 09 FG with colour screen and factory sat nav but im wanting to hook up an external source (mac mini) to the screen. If I could use the satnav input that would be great. I dont mind if I lose the navigation as I can use one in centrafuse. Ive asked ASL but Fadi says they no longer supply kits and only have one to connect an ipod to the screen. Cheers
  8. Ive been looking into this ccpl.. I ordered an I-wave bluetooth - 30pin iphone adapter but found out it sources analog from the iphone. I think the ford ICC would seek a digital signal (control track, display name etc) so as far as I can tell that link above is the only way directly. My FG has bluetooth but only to receive calls. I tryed my logitech bluetooth hooked up to the aux input and just running power from a usb charger but it has alot of alternator whine... Next step if I wanted to go the bluetooth route would be to wire in a buck converter that should supply me with a clean 5V to run the bluetooth module. Its cheap enough for me to test - about $10. Ill let you know how it goes. I havent checked with ford if they have a bluetooth solution for streaming media. If it all works out and the sound is fairly decent I might make a more permanent setup and hide the wiring.
