Feb for the Otways/Great Ocean Road run is good for me ( I try to get up that way about 4 times a year & even then I have clients up that way so I can always justify the trip :spoton: ).

March for Tassie is a great Idea, the longer the weekend the less time restrictions.

The costs so far for the Tassie trip would look something like:

$130 P/P each way on the Spirit of Tasmania, but if we book early we should be able to get the "Ship saver" which is $101 p/p each way.

Each car costs $69 each way (excluding trailers, ect).

I'm sure we could do a deal with a hotel/motel for the accomidation & bring there costs down if we get the numbers up.

For something a little sooner we tossed around the idea of a Christmas BBQ, some time next month.

A few thing that would need to be decided are:

When

Where

Day (family)

Night (piss up)

What does everyone think?

Hi TUFXRT6,

Is the Targa route all on sealed roads? If we extend it over a long weekend, can we combine parts of the Targa with a round island cruise?

Thanks.

Hi Adam, maybe somewhere near the seaside? If we drive out of Melbourne a bit, say near Korumburra way, it can be a nice leisurely cruise and then a nice BBQ. I guess if you plan to drink, you'd need a co-driver to drive home.

The road btw Warragul to Korumburra (Korumburra Warragul Road) is another good idea we should consider. Its has some great twisty's winding its way through the Strezelecki rangers with fantastic views without the traffic. Afternoon lunch at Leongatha might be an idea which is just around the corner from Korumburra.
