My GF's focus has just had a 55K klm service done, and the morons at ford managed to reset her radio ??. so they said do this do that, all didnt work. oh try this code they say.. mm doesnt work, lets pull the radio out, ocme back here.. ripped radio out ,said oh this isnt the origional one.. no they replaced it when the dials cracked! so they got the code and it works well, except for the fact that they levered it our with something which left marks that look like flat head screw driver ones.. NEVER AGAIN 'em! if anyone wants to know which dealer to stay away from PM me but they start with B and are located in te northern suburbs of melbourne. and everyone asks why I diy all my maintanance?

Every day when I reverse to the gate without my seatbelt on it chimes three times so that's likley the issue

Here in melbourne we have a shop in the city called hearns hobbies, the guys there have vast amounts of info on things like this. maybe look around in your phone book for a good hobby shop and visit them. they chould be able to point you towards any clubs close by! What an utter load of BS. I dont know ANYONE who has seen a cleanskin tyre explode like recaps do. while I agree recaps CAN be a pos, the quality branded ones like bandag are usualy xrayed to ensure that the tread has fully bonded and that the casing isnt damaged and likley to fail. and to the person who said tight arse truckies, pull your head in and just shut your yap. Have you ever ran a large truck? do you have any idea just how cutthroat it is out there, especially now that its super quiet?? This isnt meant to piss anyone off, but I run a semi myself. I am fully aware of the costings and implications and etc. Personally I will NOT run recaps, andd im fortunate enough to be able to afford cleanskin tyres, but most are not in the same boat as I am. I know several people who cannot opperate at the low returns the industry provides currently and it is tellign in the lack of large trucks on the road. I do sympathise with the damage done to the car, but the reality is that sometimes sh*t happens. I would be sure the truckie didnt even know that the tyre let go. they dont all go with a bang and over the noise in the cab things arent always apparant.

exahsix, have close look at the photos that show the plenum. you will see the sandwich plate that cools the air from the blower. looks like a water/air setup similar to whats on the blown GT ( US one )

I have a mate who owns a workshop, and one of the customer cars is a blown gt from country vic. I cannot remember the exact rwkw figures but it was in the high 300's running a vortec on an unopened engine.. These boss 8's LOVE boost. they were built for it so it seems.. if I could have afforded it I wouldnt have bought the 6T, but would have added T to an 8!!

Good to hear your ok bloke! from the looks of that it could have been VERY nasty indeed! Just a little info on the laws surrounding. There IS a law stating that you are in NO WAY allowed to be an unfair hinderance to traffic attemting to travel at or near the posted speed limit on a length of road. Merging is also supposed to be done at speed not at idle. This is why they build the onramps so long. If the cops had some balls that wuold have given the guy a huge slap on the arse. Im a Truckie and bugger me, the morons varing attempts at merging constantly amaze me. I back off the rig to allow them in, they STOP! I speed up to give them a gap behind the trailer, they Speed up to beat me! At the end of the day, until the authorities tigten up the licencing reqirements, we are going to have to suffer these nongs. And to think, people ask me why I live in the country. I have a slightly different take on this. I have just wrecked an EA CFI and the little fexible piece that hooks the air cleaner to the over-radiator snorkel looked a good size. pulled the airbox out of the T and it JUST squezes in. so I dummied it up, marked out on the airbox where the ea conduit wanted to fit aginst it, cut it out and volia. a sorta DIY CAI that looks like a factory piece from the outside.

I sighted a white strech terry on the monash fwy (MELB) this week. wasnt a good look! now thre black 300C strech I saw looked horn

on occasion down here in mexico I have see normal unleaded at around $1.049. so its a possibility!! Now just waiting for diesel to come down :(

There is unleaded avgas available, in 100-130. Last lot I had it was dyed Blue. was good, a mate was an aircraft mech, and he used to grab the drain off that they couldnt put back in and bring it home.. old Yamie loved the gear!

a mate of mine just sold an old 85 XR600RF and even thet still pulled $2500. seriously, if you cant budget around $3500-$4000 for a bike and some gear, keep saving cause as mentioned the older/cheaper ones will cost you more anyway.

if its wet enough I''ve found the tc to not really do much at all. just slightly slows how fast it revs while wheelspinning.

Just for the record, my car is stock and I have had this occour. might just be that ford have only set up the tc as an anti idiot thing rather than programmed it for high usage..

I run exclusivley Boost 98 and have not seen the problem, altho if there are issues, maybe the ethanol I enhancing them ..
