Changing The Wastegate Actuator
Cheers for the feedback guys, do you think that changing the wastegate actuator is a necessary mod for the power I am trying to achieve?

Changing The Wastegate Actuator
Hey guys, Now I must admit I am not the most mechanically gifted or knowledgable individual, but any help would be much appreciated. I am currently sitting around the 275rwkw area with - a wog cooler, edit and custom tune, modified air box and water/methanol injection ONLY My goal is to acheive 300rwkw or atleast close to it With the next stage of my mods I am planning on putting in siemens injectors, will probably need to upgrade the valve springs and also change the waste gate actuator My question is this - what is the purpose in changing the waste gate actuator? Is it because the standard one is too flimsy? Cheers again guys Nut P.S - to acheive 300rwkw are there any other bleedingly obvious upgrades which you guys would think vital, be it performance or driveline? (I know the cat will need replacing, but watching $$$ at the moment if it can be helped)

Tps Problem?
Hey guys, I put up a post about this same topic around 3 weeks ago because I was experienceing the same problem with my car. I booked it in at ford and they found the TPS to be malfunctioning (surprise, surprise), anyway they replaced the TPS under warranty and did a throttle body clean and carbon flush and the car is running perfectly now....... Hope this helps mate Cheers Nut

Some Basic Questions
Your other alternative is to see Dave (blueboost here on the forum), he is located in Mackay so you will need to take a drive. But you will find pretty much every T in the north is tuned by Dave, he is a hell of a nice guy and a great tuner..... Just my 2c

Cleaning Tough Grime Off The Car
I have a simlair problem with my car. The rapid yellow seems to show up all of these tiny black spots over the paint work. They are not large, and no one would even notice them but me, but it gives me the total SH$TS! I have tried bug and tar remover and even a light polish and nothing fully takes them out...... Me thinks it might be time to try the clay bar

Revs Dropping While Braking
Cheers for that xlnt6, that sounds to me like you hit the nail on the head. It primarily always does it when I knock the car into neutral before coming up to a traffic light or something. So is this something I should just go in and tell ford to fix? Is it something they are likely to be happy to fix? P.S - I had the wog check the idle revs and they were fine

Revs Dropping While Braking
Yeah good question, how do you know/find out, that your BOV is leaking?

Revs Dropping While Braking
Thanks for the replies guys. Any ideas are much appreciated Cheers

Revs Dropping While Braking
Yeah someone else has mentioned the TPS to me, im just a little worried ford wont want to replace it for me (if that is the problem) due to modification (even though the only obvious thing on my car is the cooler) Anyone else got any ideas/experienced similar?

Revs Dropping While Braking
Hey guys, This is a little hard to expain without actually being in the car but here goes.... When I brake (if im coming up to a stop light or something, and the car is nearly coming to a stop, maybe 20km/h) the revs drop down to around 500rpm, they then bounce back up to 1000rpm, then back down to 500rpm and will then usually balance out around 750rpm. Depending on how fast im going or how rapidly I brake they may bounce back and fourth quite a few times. It is really starting to annoy me, every time I brake at low speeds (ie going from driving revs back down to idle revs) it sounds as though the car is running sick or going to stall or something, but then will level out at idle and run fine....... Has anyone else had this problem? I have an 05' T with around 30,000km on it, wog cooler, tune, 2nd cai, clutch etc Any help would be much appreciated, and sorry if this is a repeat Cheers Nut

My Latest Custom Tune
Awesome bike mate! I recently sold my 660R, oh how I miss her..... Such a fun machine, although I have not ridden one of the 700's yet, my old raptor was pulling in the 40's and it was a punisher so yours must be a monster mate. Have fun! Cheers Nut

Speeding
First of all I am truly sorry mate and offer my sincere condolences. Second of all great quote Blonk! that's something all of us young blokes can take home... Mate, I am a med student and I am in hospitals every day seeing the results of young drivers on the road and their inexperience/missjudements/cockiness or just plain unluckiness. I am not saying any of these relate to your mate, I have also lost some friends in similair accidents. I am simply saying that often we vastly over estimate ourselves (what ever age) and sadly it takes an incident such as this for us to question ourselves. Beleive me if you had seen what I have seen you would never want to get in a motor vehicle again! But like everyone else on here I have a passion and that passion is my car. There is always a lesson to be learned even if it is from someone else's grave misfortune, as morbid as that may sound............ Sorry again mate Cheers Nut

Cruise To Airlie Beach
Well guys it was an awesome weekend! I thoroughly enjoyed myself and am so glad I came (considering I was nearly going to go home and go back to sleep saturday morning when NO ONE turned up at BP Cluden!!!) Anyways I would like to thank Judd for organising the cruise (aka houdini due to his disappearing act), Dave for bringing most (all) of the crew, the WOG for bringing his expertise (and a few good laughs) and Blonk for talking me into coming and being a hell of a nice guy. To all the Townsville and northern crew who were too slack to come, you really missed out! But hopefully we will get a few more events in the works in the near future....... Cheers guys Nut P.S - if anyone would like to purchase the WOG's tuning equipment I am holding an auction this weekend with all bids considered He was running so late for his plane they would only let him on and not his luggage so I currently have some pretty nice tuning equipment sitting in my boot!
