  1. Sounds good guys keep us posted, would love to see some of these cars run. I might even see what I can squeeze out of mine....... Not promising anything though! Cheers Nut
  2. Congratulations mate, that's nice power! Good feeling isnt it? Cheers Nut
  3. Yeah Ba springs are useless but not that useless! Im making 315rwkw on the standard Ba MkII springs......
  4. The NUT replied to hulk xr6t's topic in XR6 Turbo
Absolutely agreed! An XR6T with over 300 at the treads is an impressive car to drive! Albeit she might not go around the corners like his Cayenne, STi or EVO, but given a firm punch in the guts they really take off like a cat with battery acid on its balls. Only problem for me now is what to do when 315rwkw starts to feel sluggish? Cheers Nut
  5. Cheers guys Group buy price is $700 for front and rear DBA 4000's and Bendix pads all round.....
  6. Yeah mate I remember you now! Lol Id love to do a full upgrade but am just a little hesitant on the price at this stage. that's why I though this group buy on fordforums wasnt a bad deal...... But would be keen to come for a ride Cheers
  7. Cheers guys, Yeah the brakes are purely for street use at this stage and since the recent power upgrades I dont really want to spend the money on a new brake set up as well. If I do start looking at track days then a full set up will definitey be on the cards but I just dont have the time at the moment. So 4000's are the go, how about the bendix pads? or should I go to ferodo? Cheers
  8. Ok so I know its the competition but I have my name down on group buy on fordforums for: 4 x 4000 series DBA 6x6 slotted rotors and bendix pads all round Does this sound like the right setup? Bearing in mind they are still the standard calipers on a Ba MkII???? Any help guys Cheers
  9. Cheers guys, Yeah couldnt be happier with the drivability of the car!
  10. Hey guys, After my recent power upgrade the next mod on the list is definitely a brake upgrade. At this stage and this power level I would prefer not to go to the expense of changing the entire system ie. new calipers. So what im asking is what do you guys recommend in the way of of rotor upgrades? I know DBA seems to be a favourite but which ones exactly? And also which pads do you guys recommend as an upgrade to the standard pads (to slot into the standard calipers)? Any help would be much appreciated Cheers Nut
  11. Hey guys, I know this isnt really special news anymore but I thought id post it any way because I am so excited. Just got back from Mackay yesterday after having my car tuned by Dave (blueboost) and she made 314rwkw with 858nm. I just cant get over how good these cars are at this power level. The power just comes on so nice and smooth (and controllable) right from the get go while still being pretty ballsy in the real world. I couldnt be happier! Thanks so much to Dave for all of his work and patience! Mods in case you were wondering are: Wog cooler, modified airbox and cold air intake with K&N, Mal Wood stage 3 clutch and billet flywheel, water/methanol injection, Siemens injectors, and 4.5" MetaliCat..... that's all I think. Cheers Nut
  12. Cheers guys, yeah well removing a few psi is always tempting, looks like I might have to do it!
  13. Hey guys, Im about to get a little more work done on my car and was considering replacing the UBP. I was just wondering whether you all thought it was worth the money ($150) and effort (pulling the whole front bar off) to replace this section? Are their much gains to be had? I currently have the standard piping with a Wog cooler. Most of the other mods can be seen below, and along with this I will be putting in s set of the Siemens injectors and replacing the cat with a MetaliCat before it is retuned....... Will the proces west UBP make that much of a difference? Cheers guys any input is much appreciated Nut
  14. Yeah I can vouch for Judd he seems like a good bloke im sure there is an explanation.... Cheers Nut
  15. I just want to be the first to say HOLY sh*t! That thing sounds like a wild fricken animal! Very impressive, would not like to meet that man at any set of lights.......... Wow Cheers Nut
  16. You have 375rwkw and you are worried about tyre wear? And you dont know if the fact that the car has ~500kw has anything to do with it? Ha Ha

Also, since my last service I now have a rather obvious water/methanol injection kit fitted. The car has one month left of new car warranty, what is ford going to say about that? Should I take it to ford or a private mechanic for its alrady overdue next service? Cheers Nut
  18. Hey mate there is a group buy on at the moment on the Siemens injectors, they will get you there....... Cheers Nut

Cheers guys, Yeah only probem is im in Townsville, so no great tuners around these parts. Nearest workshop is Mackay..... Looks like it will just have to one of the local mechanics that have a good reputation Nut

Hey guys, My car is coming up to the end of its warranty, just wondering what most people do with their pride and joy once its out of warranty? Do you still get it serviced by Ford or do you take it to a private mechanic? Cheers Nut
  21. Im still VERY keen on a cat group buy but i have added another one to the list of possibilities/mods to do soon............ How about a Whiteline sway bar group buy? Anyone else interested? Cheers

  23. Anyone heard back here.......?
  24. Aitkenvale Auto and Dyno gets my vote! They have done most of my mechanical work and I have been nothing but impressed with them. They are also doing Capa flash tunes and tuning now I believe. Just behind the BP on Ross River Road......... Cheers Nut
