Servicing....

Hey guys,

My car is coming up to the end of its warranty, just wondering what most people do with their pride and joy once its out of warranty? Do you still get it serviced by Ford or do you take it to a private mechanic?

Cheers

Last chance to fix any warranty isssues , take it to Fraud.

After that do not take your car anywhere near those monkeys. A good tuner will be authorised to do log book services and will also look after your beast as well :nono:

My car is in warranty and I don't take it to Ford for anything other than specific warranty claims. Everything else gets done by my tuner.

Go and see 1 of the forum sponsors that know these cars, dont recommend any mechanic if you dont know thes cars you could get into trouble.

Cheers guys,

Yeah only probem is im in Townsville, so no great tuners around these parts. Nearest workshop is Mackay.....

Looks like it will just have to one of the local mechanics that have a good reputation

Also, since my last service I now have a rather obvious water/methanol injection kit fitted. The car has one month left of new car warranty, what is ford going to say about that? Should I take it to ford or a private mechanic for its alrady overdue next service?

Cheers

lol, "rather obvious" you know if it didn't say water methanol injection on it, they probably wouldn't pick it up! Just take it to your local mechanics and tell them to use genuine parts, then you don't have to worry about your warranty, then again, if you don't have any warranty claims, the ford guys won't care what you've done to it...
