That video is fantastic Just take one crap car, graphics from the original outrun game and throw in some slappers from late night porno chat tv adds... and you have it! One a serious note too actually make it more "real" wouldn't you need an inertia dyno to simulate car momentum and the right characteristics between gear changes??? The thing is I can still see a lot of people paying money to them... would definatley be a certain type of people though.

O+ here, the are more "fine tune" things associated with your blood group apart from basic type as well ... the advantage of having a GF who's a medical scientist....

That would be awesome how cold would the air be!!!!! Until you crank the motor and the vibration shatters your frozen intercooler into a million bits, which would also be awesome to see, just not for the person who's car it was...

I've been looking at these for a while, just as much for the show factor as for performance... I'm going to upgrade the intercooler first before getting one.... They would really help reduce the air temp to the motor, especially on back to back runs. I should have been more clear... I spose it really depends on if you plan to modify it or not. Once you up the power you'll need to consider torque steer more. I prefer my T over the XR5, but then again having a more entry level car can only be a good thing... It does have some competition though; Holden, Renault, and Volkswagen all have new turbo hatches now, albeit the Golf GTI is more expense by a fair bit than the others. Like all things personal choice comes into it. My GF hated my car until she drove it now I can't get her out of it. But shes doesn't like the size, so shes just bought a Renault Megane Turbo. The GTI had a 12month wait on it, and she didn't like the look of the Ford or the VXR Astra. I did try to convince her though....

They are front wheel drive though... Can anyone say "torque steer"

A lot of dvd players will do NTSC out as a menu setting... I use an XBOX it's a much better option and you could hook up a basic setup for a lot less than $1500...

Providing it's not an inertia dyno (big weight that is accelerated by the car), why can't a rolling road dyno be used to measure variables at constant engine speed?

There's hope for our cars yet... SAAB have a 9-3 Convertible with a 2.0L Turbo that runs on Ethanol and produces 191KW... I wonder if they would release a 4.0L straight 6 turbo
