May 18, 200620 yr #1 Drag Tag. Introductory price $450.http://site.dragtag.com.au/You drive your OWN car onto a chassis dyno in front of three 4.5 meter screens. It's a massive video game, where the rollers measure output etc, and change resistance depending on surface and slope. Apparently (cue Dr Evil impersonation) 'lasers' detect steering movement, and change the view accordingly.Whatever you do, just check out the vid:http://site.dragtag.com.au/webpage.php?id=7Can you say cheeeeeese? oh the humanity! Thanks very much, but I'll stick to the real thing if I want to waste fuel and increase wear and tear on my car. Especially for THAT kind of money.
May 18, 200620 yr #2 2 reasons why Im out,1) OH&S can't use NOS at a public event indoors. (only found that out the other day) Up yours work cover.2) Why would you?that's like some stupid idea that pissed guys that drive Hyundais talk about at the pub, I hear in the car park they have death matches between Lions and tigers, Sharks and Croc's.
May 18, 200620 yr #3 Weird It says to bring up the revs and dump the clutch... can you do that on a dyno? Jack
May 19, 200620 yr #4 Strange Video...the car looks like its a late model Dunnydoor yet the music and the video production are right out of the '80s.
May 19, 200620 yr #9 If I wear lycra will anyone watch me ride my mtb bike on it?←Im sure JB might join you on that one Rob...
May 19, 200620 yr #10 That video is fantastic Just take one crap car, graphics from the original outrun game and throw in some slappers from late night porno chat tv adds... and you have it!One a serious note too actually make it more "real" wouldn't you need an inertia dyno to simulate car momentum and the right characteristics between gear changes???The thing is I can still see a lot of people paying money to them... would definatley be a certain type of people though.
