Manual Only Ba-Fg, Xr6 Turbo ¼ Mile Times
camo86T replied to YLD-11Z's topic in Drag and Circuit Racing
This guy did it... http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/80668-my-stock-g6-to-manual-turbo-build/ Edit: the conversion -
Yeah that's what I thought. And tune done by CPV so extremely unlikely to be any issues in that department..

Saw this...mall amount of drool forming http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Ford-Performance-Vehicles-GS-2010/SSE-AD-3640007/?gts=SSE-AD-3640007>ssaleid=SSE-AD-3640007

Did cross my mind. Might post up dimensions in case anyone else wants to make a set

Serviced the ute today Used semi synth nulon for the first time...full synth something fg cam wear something something Decided that I'll alternate between the two Also made a couple of new bar supports for the tonneau cover For the last few years I've left it open as all too often carting something around a bit high and got sick of taking it off (also why never got a hard lid though love the look of them) At some point lost the bars and even with a house move haven't tracked them down. Have seen them on ebay for around $90 delivered - each. Screw that. No doubt Ford would be the same/more. Borrowed the bars off a mate's uncle's ute and made up a couple in staino. Only thought afterwards of the wrecker option but done now. Plus making stuff = win

some bloke named Johnny by any chance...

Nice setup and results. Thoughts on the gtw? Pump gears done or standard?

Looks the business What are you distilling?Notice its a column still not a pot still... The one we've just finished is our first ever crack, normally all our work is stainless steel, never done a still before either. Massive learning curve as you can imagine but seems to be plenty of demand out there and the client is over the moon about his new toy so hopeful the feedback plus a bit of marketing leads to further work Will throw up a few pics of the finished setup complete with condenser in the next day or so
-
No it won't cause any issues and the upgraded piping will be necessary if you mod it later on Not much point if it will stay stock all its life though?
-
Nice write up matty Maybe could add that twin 2.5" exhaust will flow pretty much identical to single 3.5" as it's a very common option with sellers Also less likely to drone than a big single

Thought this was worth a mention 2400L whisky still we're building for a distillery in the Southern Highlands

Had a dump at work this morning and the detergent the new cleaner uses in the bowl is some pretty potent eucalyptus stuff After a few minutes the fumes were literally ring-stinging, sorta like one of those nostril inhalers when you've got a blocked nose but x1000 Right thread?

Any decent size suspension joint should be able to Got a quote from Sydney Suspension for mine about a year ago, about $250 for the pair iirc

Fork me. I was more meaning the external hardware but I guess no point setting it up without the internals or they'll be swarf in fairly short time

Great reading, guessing this sort of setup would be sell-your-mother type pricey? And wouldn't necessarily fit a tr-6060... I bet impellor would be excited.

At this stage not a chance unfortunately...have recently moved house and will have reno's for the next few months, and work is currently going off its tits. The closest I get to any cruise action is reading this thread lol

Did the putty about 2 years ago in the ute, unreal drive Was for urgent work duties, on a week day so had to contend with a few trucks which sucked up at the Milbrodale end where it's tight and twisty as and no possible overtaking opportunities Weekend drive would be great though. They were doing some roadwork on it at the time, not sure if it's still as bumpy as it was back then Decent suspension would def make it more enjoyable, in the ute (stock suspension) I found it more stable on the way back with a 250kg blower unit in the tub. Road bikes love it too, expect to see a decent amount on there

Bit the bullet and bought these Now have no excuses not to fit the koni reds that have sat in the garage for the last 18 months... 2 weeks

Stockpiling lol you're literally talking about a hundred mL of fuel from cleaning your oil filter aren't you? If you threw it on your concrete slab it would evaporate in seconds Btw don't do that it you don't want a bit of an oil stain from the crap you cleaned out sh*t this is breaking it down lol

yes it will murder grass EPA will have your arse if they found out you put it down the drain Use it in the mower or use it to jump start your next bonfire
