  1. I have driven both and the gap between the 2 is not a big as some on here would have you think. I like the XR8 too but in the end I couldn't justify spending more money on a car that's slight inferior to the T. Drive both and by the one you like best.
  2. So if you were working as a salesman and using your own vehicle while getting paid a vehicle allowance by your employer how would a ute/sedan change the tax situation?
  3. Looking into getting something more practice than the T along the territory style of things. Went and had a look at a AWD and RWD territory and a 3L Subaru Outback today. Initially I was thinking of trying to sell the T privately and buying no trade but thought I might as well get a trade in price while I'm at it. O5 BA Mkii XR6T 10800kms premium sound tow bar mats, spats, protectors and the usual crap, in mint condition. After hearing all the stories about the re sale of the T's my expectations weren't high but I came away pleasantly surprised. One ford dealer offered me 27 on a terri with $3,800 of the RRP of the terri and I'm waiting to hear from a second ford dealer. The subaru dealer offered me 29 on a outback with $2500 off the RRP of the outback. Basically I'm now wondering what it's worth privately. Say I went for the outback I would need to sell it for 30 to make it worth the trouble. Any one sold one recently think 30 would be obtainable on the private market or should I just trade it?
  4. Are the FBT rule the same for utes and sedans?
  5. I think the XR4 will help build a more youthful image for ford in the small car segment. They have a red one with white stripes at my local dealership and they said that with the exception of one person who though it looked like a rally car everyone who has looked at it (even just in passing) has commented favorably about it. Weather it drives like a genuine hot hatch remains to be seen but it certainly looks the part.
  6. Ego is a great colour, it will be one sweet looking ride. Why do you have to wait 2 weeks for it when it's a second hand car? When I bought my T I gave the go ahead over the phone to the dealer about lunch time and it had arived on the truck by the time they opened the next day

  8. http://www.v8supercar.com.au/news/latestne...mp;gid=32662868 We can't take a trick this year. Not like 888 to much such a stupid mistake
  9. A mate of mine had the radiator replaced in his XR6T when it was not long out of warranty, just goes to show not all dealers are assholes.
  10. I think it would have been the car hitting the road when the wheel dropped down where the grate should have been not damage fro the actual grate. I would have thought you would have good rights to claim as well
  11. If you got it for $23500 you would be doing well, if your serious about getting one then give him what he's asking then bask in all it's turbocharged glory
  12. Results are in for round 4 an I'm pretty happy, scored 569 this round which put me 194th for the round and up to 2nd in our league so I can;t complain. How is everyone else going, what are you doing trade wise?
  13. Open both your eyes Shazzy, granted he is an arrogant little *beep* but in this case he did nothing wrong
  14. He didn't gain any spots, that's why he didn't get a drive through. Apparently the drivers were told if this happened to them and they did gain spots they had to let the cars back past or they would cop a penalty. It sucks that you can make a stuff up and not loose any ground though but it's just a quirk of the track.
  15. Thanks mate, I feel much better now
  16. Dam, I though this was going to be a thread with a funny picture like a terri with a tree fallen on it. Now I'm really let down.
  17. I didn't see the pics your talking about but I heard that the inlet manifold will be made of some sort of plastic on the N/A 6 but not the turbo.
  18. One day my younger sister drove me down the street in our parents V8 LTD in the rain and scared the absolute sh*t out of me. Apparently she had trouble grasping the concept that she didn't need to push the throttle as hard as she did in her pintara. While the LTD is no power house it had more than enough power to get her into trouble, the LDS didn't help either.

I have wondered the same thing when people say stuff like this, oh the car sound and feels better and the new oil was a slightly different colour than the other oil I used when I changed it. Run one oil for 100,000 kms pull the motor down then tell me what you think of it. that's why I tend to listen to guys like Nika that actually have some evidence of oil performance in threads like these.
  20. Well what the point of your thread then? waltz on down to the auctions and get one.
  21. It worries me to hear all these stories about poor service and the like as it reflects badly on all ford dealers. I for one have been 100% happy with my dealer and I'm sure there are others in the same boat as me. I'm not saying there all good but don't tar everyone with the same brush.
  22. Yeah black is a real bitch like that, go the octane it looks good and will be a million times easier to keep clean and looking good.
  23. Sounds like a great day, how much did it cost and what was the format of the day like, did you have to spend alot of time waiting to get on the track?
  24. We buy alot of stuff from Blackwoods, they are fairly pricey but everything the sell is good quality.
