  1. what would I know, I only fitted tyres to the bastards for years!! ← I've never seen a cleanskin explode like a recap either. We only run cleanskins and have not had a single flat or blown tyre in just over 5 years. If your running that close to the wind that the difference between running recaps instead of cleanskins will make or break you then mabey you should be looking for another job.
  2. That "thing" looks horrid
  3. What about this one guys? Sorry can't get the link to work from the main page of autotrader.com.au do a search for "ford xr8 white automatic" in Vic and it's the first result
  4. I don't think it's looks that bad, at least it's something different.
  5. I got mine yesterday as well, I think they were out on normal time. An interesting article in there about the supercharged 380. I hope they go ahead with it, the 380 sure could use an image boost. Also a good article on the new convertible lambo
  6. Probably got a bit to do with it not being sold in the UK I reckon

Ended up going with option 1, got the games just waiting for the console to get back from being chipped which fingers crossed should be tomorrow. As a result I have all my PlayStation 2 games and accessories on eBay http://search.ebay.com.au/_W0QQsassZj-bomb3000QQhtZ-1 ← I thought that all you had to do to play burned games on the x360 was to upgrade the firmware of the dvd drive? how much are they charging for the chips? and do you know if you have a 1st gen or 2nd gen dvd drive? I heard that they could only upgrade the 1st gen ones.. cheers ← I don't know if it's an actually chip or what they do to it (I just used that phrase for lack of a better word) but it cost me $85 installed and it now plays burnt games whatever the hell they did to it. The console was brand new and I did ask them about modding the later ones as I had heard similar things but the guys I used said they had some problems cracking the new ones when they first come out but there now able to do it no worries. But anyone in Melbourne looking to have one modded give these guys a go http://cavernimports.com.au/ I was very happy with them, nice guys to deal with to.
  10. Harsh but fair
  11. Expensive Daewoo veteran Steven Richards has made a surprise switch to Ford where he will partner rising star Mark Winterbottom, who is convinced he can wrest the V8 Supercar mantle back for the blue oval this season. Richards, who has signed a long-term contract for Ford Performance Racing, drove for the Jack Daniels Expensive Daewoo outfit last season. The 34-year-old replaces the highly-respected Jason Bright, who he teamed with to win Bathurst in 1998. "It is terrific to be joining a team that is clearly on the rise going by the speed that FPR displayed during the 2006 season," Richards said today. Winterbottom, 25, has run for only three years in the premier category but last year showed his winning potential, taking out the tough Sandown 500 endurance race and the controversial season-ending Phillip Island round. He finished third overall behind Late model camira driver Rick Kelly and Ford racer Craig Lowndes but now says he can annex the championship in 2007. Winterbottom's partnership with the experienced Richards comes as Bright moves to his own team. The pair will test their 2006 car with significant updates next month and aim to get a jump on the competition by being match-ready for the rugged Clipsal 500 in Adelaide in March. Winterbottom said today that his goals had now shifted upwards after a stellar 2006. "You do approach things a little bit differently - at the start of last year I went into it saying I can do the job, I just needed a team which can supply me with the equipment," Winterbottom said. "We did that last year and now this year we can start as one of the favourites, we've got a team that we know now and there's no excuses why we can't go out and win the championship. "The team we have I now know exactly how they work and how we can work together and that's how we can start the season in a better way that we did last year." Winterbottom is an enthusiastic advocate of the revised system, which allocates points to only the first 15 drivers, meaning teams will have to abandon their former conservative approach to racing. "I think it's a lot better - to race to win is what you always go out and do and there were times last year that we went for positions just to get points," Winterbottom said. "There's nothing more frustrating from a driver's point of view that you have to follow someone just for the sake of two points. "This year it's actually, go for the pass and it may move you up in the championship.''
  12. I would have thought it's hooked in to measure the boost

  15. Looks farking terrible
  16. No ones saying they are that bad. In isolation there a great car but the fact is compared to the XR6 Turbo or the VE SS there not as good.

  18. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ford-XR6-XR8-BA-XR6...1QQcmdZViewItem Interesting
  19. I agree that this is where ford have the biggest problem matching up against the VE, that and the LWB cars. But how does this make it a good time to buy a XR8? I'd by the SS over the XR8.
  20. Yea it was a limited edition colour they stopped producing the colour in September apparently ← Fantasy has now been replaced with obsission which is a purple based chromaflair colour. Fantasy looks good when it's clean but once it gets even a little bit dirty it looks IMHO. The $1600 would put people of it to I reckon helping to keep it more exclusive.
  21. Looks like it would have been an easy enough fix

I'm fairly sure the speakers are panasonic, don't know about the amp or anything else though.
  23. So a car with 53,000 kms on it breaks a CV with a clutch dump at 5500 RPM and that's somehow piss poor from ford They build in a certain level of "idiot" factor when designing parts but you do things like that and stuffs going to break sooner or later.
  24. Headlight protectors are a waste of money, you would be doing well to break a headlight these days. There not made of glass anymore.
  25. I agree Zap, hell of a lot more stuff there than "crap", wanna go halves
