  1. I haven’t officially passed scruitineering yet, but hopeful of making it to the start line. Roll call?
  2. I’ll put a vid together one night
  3. Yeah really good. Only damage was a new set of R888r’s :-)
  4. What are you referring to here?
  5. Good on you for going down and having a chat, takes some balls to do so well done.
  6. Valid response, but I don’t think XFT’s response was unprofessional myself. It was quite reasonable and civil I thought.
  7. Jet you’re stirring sh*t for no reason and justifying your actions because that’s how someone else behaves it simply childish. I hope that’s not the behavioural standard new members can expect from this public forum.
  8. @JETURBO your useless posts are of no value here. I know of plenty of happy customers from the XFT camp. It’s annoying when you get someone come on here and air their dirty laundry and bag out a workshop based on the opinion of someone in direct competition. No really fair! My 2 cents!
  9. I'm easy, keep this one going. I've booked in again for next year, not sure if the car will still be alive though. Dyno'd at 485 kw the other day and have Powercruise next weekend. Fingers crossed.
  10. Never had rich detonation myself. Bore washing would be a bigger issue with a heap of fuel I would have thought.
  11. I'm probably going to get slayed for this but that doesn't sound like it's running well at idle in my opinion. Does it have vernier cam sprockets?
  12. Use a sparkcut on the shift and do away with the clutch if you don't already.
  13. What two-step are you using?
  14. How do you come up with that logic. Better suited.....couldn't agree less.
  15. Your tuner won't recommend either of those. He's a 6466 man. Just use a 6466 and be done with it.
  16. I've raced my car a lot. You can be extremely prepared and things still fail. That's racing. It's a process of racing, breaking and building stronger. I have had my fair share of failures, most of which I could not have prepared for (apart from going all out to start with!). If you plan on racing with big hp (I had had about 500 hub kw at RW) expect some breakages, irrespective of preparation, along the way. That's racing.
  17. We don't have the boost sensor in SCT and the t-MAP is mapped for a limited number of calibrations. My code A3YB doesn't have either boost or t-MAP in either SCT or HP. HPT is still missing a lot. The guys with HPT only will ALWAYS tell you otherwise, because they simply don't know what they are missing. SCT is missing parameters too and as mentioned, it's bizarre some of the things they have missed. For example the max camshaft overlap, airflow correction for camshaft position, camshaft position modifier for boost error etc are in SCT but the desired camshaft overlap table isn't there to edit. Since 2006 when Ford introduced TiVCT no tuner I am aware of has had the ability to independently control the camshafts....it's a major flaw in the software. Even access to the sensor calibrations is a reasonably recent addition. This new software might prove to be some healthy competition...probably needed from an end user point of view.
  18. I've seen 460kw at the axles on two hub dyno's with be 62mm compressor. With the 67mm and more boost....it would have to be around 480 axle kw.
  19. Excellent summary @Ralph Wiggum Was an awesome weekend and has just left me wanting more!! I drove the car as I drive it on the street, made a few changes to the tune but that was about it. Some observations from my point of view. My intake temps were getting hot from sitting around for long periods with the engine running and bonnet down. Would see close to 60 at the start of the run, drop to mid 40's and back up to 60 at the end of the run.....so I'll use a spray bar next time and work on keeping the car cool. As Ralphy mentioned....aero. At 250+ I could hear the factory spoiler over the external gate. It was a blur in the rear vision mirror is was flapping around so much!! Some small aero mods will go a long way we think!! When to change gears!! This was a big one for me. I changed into 6th every run...even for the 800m. Having looked at data/times etc etc, I really needed to raise my speed limiter to 6500 rpm and cross in 5th. My best 1000m run had me 9km/hr down on my best 800m. I'm certain it has a 265 in it as is. Next year will see more rpm and maybe a slightly taller tyre so I'm crossing in 5th still. Lastly the stock spaghetti rod BA bottom end and stock oil pump gears still held together. Was seeing upto 20.5psi on a 67mm compressor!! How long will this thing last!! Thanks everyone, was such a fun weekend!!
  20. Someone came up and asked Rob to take a speed limiter off....that wasn't you was it?
  21. Thanks heaps Arron for taking the Evo home! Very kind of you. Great weekend hanging out with the lads and there was no shortage of banter!! Spewing Luke couldn't get a clean run in, especially the effort he went to on the other lads cars. Great to see the Monsta Torque guys do so well and Rob there supporting also. We need more workshops down there representing Fords.
  22. Into 6th gear. Have a 6100rpm limiter, might raise it though. Not actually sure on the power, peak boost with EFR9180 is 19.5psi.
  23. 249 over the 800m. Going to leave it there for today. No of us have broke anything, so pretty good so far.
