Lazys Bf2 Xr6 Turbo

Recommended Posts

Hello

I have a 2007 bf mk2 xr6 turbo sedan in the color breeze.

6 speed zf, Full sports leather, Premo sound, duel zone ect ect.

I bought it about a year and a half ago with 60,000 kays on the clock.

Love the color!

I took it down the drags a few times and started off getting 13.8's then worked my way down to 13.44 @ 103mph and ran a couple more 13.4's after that but 13.44 was the best.

I had been collecting parts on the side for about a year and finally got a chance to get it tuned.

Had the car dropped off to XFT and came back with this result and was very happy!

On the 5th run it did come up with 348rwkw.

Go fast bits are.

800hp plazmaman cooler with 3" cold side

4" dump 5" 100cell cat and twin 2.5" catback.

4" air intake and moved the battery to the boot

Process west surge tank with bosch 044 pump

12 psi actuator and wastgate modded

60lb injectors

Running 16 psi

Cant wait to get it down the drags now!!!!!

11's here you come! Lovely round number of rwkw too haha.

Get your better half down near the start line so you have awesome pics of your burnouts when having runs.

Also let us all know when you are going down to the plex so we can watch!

Wednesday Shower or two. Min 10 Max 20

Fingers crossed they are daytime only.

PS need more pics with new cooler/zorst!

Invos should go well enough on the track, dudes run low 11's on them, but will depend on treadwear rating of the size you have as I've noticed they vary from 220-260.

How do the invos hold up on the street?

So far there doing alright surprisingly but I havnt had much of a chance to really open it up either. When launching hard they do slide a little bit.

Good lock on those tires mate,I couldn't use anymore than 1psi of boost and had them finally down to 14psi....KU31s were better for me at the strip. Those two big channels in the tread really take some rubber off the road, something the 31s don't suffer.Mine are 255/40/18s.

that's odd I know a couple people now who found the invos better then the ku31's =/ Really interested to see what they can do now. Those 2 channels in the tires are quiet big but I guess maybe that helps them do well in the wet? I know when it was stock last raining season they did a pretty good job compared some crap like achilles.

I went down the drags 2 weeks ago and ran 12.02 with the invos, My mph was 120 and 60" was 2.1 which I was babying off the line. Just hoping the rain stays away this week so I can have another crack.

1.8 sixty footer is more like it! What did you stall to RPM/PSI wise on the top run?

I want to try and get a 1.8 flat or even into the 1.7's.

I wasnt taking note of the rpm, Just watching my boost gauge when launching.

My first couple of runs I stalled the car to 5-6 psi and it was great. So I thought I would try for 7-8 psi but my cars brakes wouldn't hold the car haha.

As soon as I started to hit about 7-8 psi the car would start to slip or creep forward. So then my time would start and I couldn't get that harder launch I wanted.

My hand brake only holds my car to about 1000-1200 rpm so I will need to get that fixed. Then maybe I might be able to get more off the line?

Or some 4 or 6 pot brakes haha.

haha To be honest im thinking of some id 1000's and some e85. Not to sure how much of a difference it would make though.

Nice work mate, more left in that time I reckon!

Cheers mate, So do I haha. I reckon I could get to maybe 11.5 with the right launch :)

So it's been awhile but I went to the drags on Wednesday and smashed my PB

11.46 and a 1.6 60ft!

0150E47E-64F0-47EB-8DC6-ED93A3E30C74-735

I do recon I could get a 11.3 maybe a 11.2 if it was cold enough.

My first run was a 1.81 60ft and 121 mph but a 11.58 then I just had continues runs. My 60ft was always about 1.6-1.7 for the rest of the night but 11.5's my 11.4 came after resting the car for about 40 minutes. Heat soak sucks :( I do have a nizpro cooler sitting in my spare room though ;)

So always keen to keep trying :D
