  1. Yeah was good fun last night, didn't get home till after 2 I think. A couple of moments there that we could have done without though. Plus I think Jake should change his nick from déjàvu to Zoolander. Because he can't turn right!
  2. And Bizkets tried twice !
  3. Congrats on the s/a championship !! Will keep an eye out for ya on SBS next year !
  4. Welcome back ! Dyno tunes aren't cheap, particularly if you also need to buy an xcal as well. You may want to make the expense worthwhile and get some other bits to go with the injectors. But by then your f6 injectors may be a limiting factor. It can become a vicious cycle that usually ends with a GTX.
  5. I'm in, what time do we meet ? 9pm would suit me thanks.
  6. Holy sh*t! that is sweet!
  7. I may even get around to washing the ute by then !
  8. I love a Friday night cruise myself. Just not on the weekend of the 16th. But can make any Sunday.
  9. They'd be less obvious when you're trying to play the sleeper game. I've wanted to refit my stock wheels for a stealthy change but there's no use with a guage pod on the dash so I just leave the 20's on and stay hektik.
  10. That'd be funny if it wasn't going to cost you thousands. Is the flex plate f*cked as well as the box ?
  11. I've got ICC mounted guages in my FG II and have no vision issues and neither does Mrs Speed who is five four or something. Got my gauge cups fitted to my cover through Wal at Top End Audio, but he's all the way over here in WA. But another member sorted out something with him and got some sorted. Do a search and you'll find a thread with some pics and stuff.
  12. Hahaha so much awesome !! I did an oil change on my first ever car, a mighty 6cyl HQ Holden. Poured new oil in, checked dip stick, no oil ! WTF? Look underneath, didn't put sump plug back in, five litres of brand new oil went in the rocker cover, out the sump plug and straight into the waste oil sump on the service pad. Nice :( Luke still wins though!
  13. Yeah good point Arron, I had left overs from last service so only needed one. On the subject of useful tips, here's a couple I worked out today.... 1, if you think you're being clever by putting your filter strap, ratchet and sump plug spanner in your oil drain pan so all your tools can be dragged under the car in one hit. You are only actually clever if you remember to remove the filter strap and ratchet BEFORE you unscrew the sump plug. 2, If you pick up your 20L waste oil drum and it feels like there's already 15 litres in it, there's a good chance that the 6 litres you just dropped out of your sump and filter are probably not going to fit and some of it will end up on the floor of the garage.
  14. No, that's tomorrow.
  15. Speaking of lubricant. Picked one of these up from Repco Cannington for about $50 today. Was marked at $74 I think, so not sure what happened there. Not complaining. So no prizes for guessing what I'll be doing after the moto GP coverage finishes today.
  16. I love a good skid, in a shed, with your mates. Excellent work!
  17. Just FYI, there's an ANDRA test and tune day next Wednesday 23rd in preparation for the Grand Opening of the ANDRA season next weekend. So the track will be prepared and about as good as it's ever going to be for next week's WAW.
  18. Yeah reaction time affects your win/loss but not your actual ET.
  19. My reaction time was 1.3 seconds Marko, I was more interested in spooling the car up and getting the launch right than racing the other guy. My missus found that pic on the plex website and sent it to me. Then she sent me another one and said "is this Steve?" I replied and said "ummmm that's a commodore" She replied and said "whoops!" Hahahaha
  20. Yeah and not cheap. Also, KPM warranty is voided if you use it for any Motorsport. Including drags. Wonder if Walky is the same.
  21. Oh, and good to meet you too Goran. 4000 clams !! Fck me !
  22. Concentrating on tacho. Did a little better on a later pass than this one but didn't bother with a pic.
  23. Bad luck Brendon. Steve, how's your car ? Hope the rattle is just something coming loose, but not the flex plate. I had a reasonable night. Best of 11.63 or something at 123mph. I tried several full boost launches using the handbrake but even after massive skids on my NT05R's and letting the tyres down a couple of times, it would still spin off the mark. Not like when I first used them and they rotated on the rim rather than spin. Dunno if it was me or the track. Kept hitting the rev limiter in first too.
  24. What do you do with the hard cover ? I'm staying away from them simply because I use my ute too much for...well...ute stuff. I can imagine a hard cover getting dropped, stood on, scratched by the dog, run over by my own idiot self among many other fates.
  25. Don't forget, brendon will bring a spare. Also, not that I'm suggesting you do this. But, if Brendons spare is already being used, a less honest person would borrow a AS/NZ lid for scrutineering off someone (lets sayyyy, an XR6T forum member) and then give it back and use their own helmet for racing once passed. Not that any of us would do that...ahem
