Took the opportunity to see what all the fuss was about - and arranged to have a closer look at the Gen-F HSV Clubsport in Black with Black leather and alloy wheels and sitting adjacent to it , another clubsports in a migenta colour , black leather and wheels with bright red HSV calipers . The sales person(HSV specialist) appeared to know less than I did - why is that ?????? . Anyway , I was only looking and had no intention to had back the keys to the batmobile for a shiny new HSV. In fairness, I agree , over the years , HSV are to be commended for their advertising role in making their units desirable , however , as I alerted to earlier , as the brand / car talks to you - pointless buying it , because , some report , driver, and or , tells you , you should . I 've owned Torana 's , Monaro's and Commodores , in my earlier years , and apart from the joy my A9X came me - whilst dating my now wife , nothing as stirred the emotions as much as the GT . Well , I sat in the Gen-F, played with a few switchs and run my finger over most things , and I must , the range sports a unique array of features , front and rear bumpers , firmer and lower suspension , uprated brakes and larger lighter wheels .. The sales person stated , if I wanted to get into the GTS , I would need $105k in auto and $102k in manual , and if I ordered the car today, I should expect delivery in Nov 2013 or Mar 2014 ???? and of course their are no drives available .. I came away , thinking , I will be hanging on to the batmobile - it cost me less, stirrs the emotions more , and I am sure with a little cash injection , I should be able to knock over the claimed 430kw - although it has never been about the kw - heck , if it was , I would have purchased the GS - value for money it ticks all the boxes - except the most important one for me anyway - No GT Badge !!!

Agree with Paulie - although the hardware maybe there , the guarantee and saving will only come , once you / tuner are confident that the pits work and have been put together well and with the same attention as you and your tuner would expect had you supplied and fitted the hardware . If possible , can it checked out - escpecially if you have been asked to pay a premium for the performance gear . If you're not, then the gear could be a bonus is retained , or it ending up be a cost , having to bring the car back to platform that your tuner is happy with. In my opinion , it's all in the price and what you have the opportunity to have the car checked properly .

It's possible they could be the black RSpec wheelset and not the GT wheelset?

After whining forever , about the up keep on those red wheels , I have always said , I had wished that the wheels had been black . Well , today , I saw a Black RSpec with the original GT Black wheel set ( I wonder , apart from colour , the reason for the change to the original GT Wheelset from the Red RSpec ?? Does anyone have any idea , why??) . I must say I was disappointed . I guess I love those Red wheels more than I had thought !!! :-)

Hello - Aren't the pictures shown above of the GT500 Shelby which are currently available for around mid to high $100's depending whether a demo shipped from the states (say $160k+) or used for $130's . Are we now saying that not Shelby 's but something in the same vein is going to be available post Ford for around $60's ????? If so, what will that mean to the owners of current F6 and GT models ??? .

For what its worth , love the black look of the Advans against the white . In my opinion with the black stripe - just spells 'tough'

It's old news now - An all new Mustang replaces Falcon as Ford Australia's hero muscle car from early in 2015. Ford stated it is desperate to establish Mustang as is rear -drive performance champion . Initially , the Mustang will launch with a 6speed auto, with some variants offerin 6speed manuals . Engines are largely carry over 60 degree, DOHC , 3.7 litre V6 @ 230kw, the 5.0 litre 32value, 320kw Coyote V8 and a potential fo the near 500kw 5.8 litre supercharged. At this stage I am staying married to the RSpec - and I expect in time with talk to the good folk at KPM and add some nice pits to find that magic 400kwrw . love the idea of a new 2.3 supercharged, intercooler , snout and tune. Wahoooo!!!!

I would have agreed with crazyxa post, but then you 're met with rednose orange F6 and clearly Simmons can look good on today's cars. So, if you like, run with them as that what ultimately counts.

Love the idea of being able to replace a OEM part with a performance part without the need for manufacturing a fit. Well done !!!

Pulled the trigger on a indoor cover for the bat mobile(black). The dust was driving me nuts. Now I just got to work out a way to keep those wheels (especially- fronts) clean.

ChillR On the back on the post by Benny , I am averaging around 14km per 100(stock as). I see you had posted around 15 .. It will interesting to read what the car is averaging now , following your recent mods . I will expect that you're driving it alot harder and more often - smiling all the way .. So , it doesn't really matter whether the consumption is a little better, same and a little or a lot worst, I guess , it's the enjoyment your hard earned has brought that I am really interested in reading.

Wow - that is a big difference ... 260 to 400+ ... At only a guess - it s not going to be the same car - I can't imagine what it will drive like on full attract - with 260 feeling strong - hang on and watch out for those boots up front ...:-) hahaha Can't wait to hear what your thoughts are across the rev range - from cruising , full on attack from the get go and from 2nd or 3rd in to full attack from round 3000 rev...

Agree - the new girl feels at home at just cruising along - short shifting all the way to the shops , but that supercharged whirl , just makes you want to push harder and then in traffic , that is what gets you into trouble - although those brakes will stop you on a dime. The note and whirl are so special - and because it so easy to go from a lazy cruise to full out attack - I was just thinking as a daily driver you are more often in this position - cruise to full on attack and with more mambo under the bonnet I can not help to think with time you are going to end up in someone boot:-) . I don't drive the new girl as a daily drive and each time I get in - I look forward to that full on attack. Further - cruising along short shifting with more mambo is not going to good for the heads? Is it?????

I also agree with Buf- Phoon ... Every time I take the new girl out for a whirl , give me as many horses as available , however, I fell like every time I feel the need for speed , everyone else is on the brakes - Grrrrr!! . So I am constantly looking for a opportunity to stretch her legs , whilst constantly taking deep breaths , trying not to do a Micheal Douglas in the middle of traffic... If it was a daily driver , and having more than stock, I can only imagine it would only be a matter of time that I find myself cross up like Tom Cruise in Top Gun , and crying all the way to the panel shop with the new girl jammed up someone's rear!!!. I know it still early days for me and the new girl , but I can't imagine how it would feel to have 400+ as a daily driver??? 400+ as a toy - bring it on!!!!! Nice to hear from ChillR after the mods!! . :-)

Pazzo - no I don't work there . However, I was considering allowing them to do the Ford service , but from the feedback I've read , I may take it to Pit Lane or ??? . I was interested to know what sort of experience you've had at New Oak . I understand that the a experience with the sales team - be good or bad, may not be duplicated by the experience had with the service team . I had that experience with Etheridge Ford - excellent service experience - yet very sad sales experience . I was pleased to read above that David Nutter in Berwick offer good service - I had found them especially good in the sales - and it was so close in deciding whether to go with them on a new car or stay with New Oak - who really did move almost Oakleigh to get the deal done !! I could n't walk away after that effort!! So - now , I need to decided whether the car goes back to New Oak or else where. Any feedback would be most welcomed .

We 've all been at that crossroad , at some point . Agree , the offerings by FPV make the decision from one car to the other very difficult .. Each car has a particular way of meeting a particular need - be it street recognition , noise , track speed, straight line speed, ability to move forward from factory spec to fully blown mod and so on and on .. At the end , we have had to make a decision - and have purchased one of FPV offerings - one model ahead of the other - why ?? - Only you will know and fully appreciate !! . My only advise - acquire what your heart tells you to purchase (there is no wrong decision - no bad decision ) - what feels right for you - what ticks most of the boxes and makes you happy .. I 've owned many cars - all have made me smile for one reason or another - but I must say - having moved back into the FG GT from a F6 (sworn after owning the F6 that I would never move back to the eight - however this S/C 5.0lt is very special ) the smile can't get any bigger !!!

Good Morning , My son and I and discussed doing a trip to Bathurst this year - It's a race that I never been too - and I am not sure how to prepare ! . Do I drive , do I camp, do I rent accommodation and make daily trips to the track , what to take, where to sit , do I purchase grandstand tickets , general adminssion tickets ? Any help and advise would be very much appreciated

Saw a 'strong' looking FG F6 in what appeared to not to be a factory Grey around Ringwood - I can't remember whether the plates said 6 Force or G Force - it moving away from me and it was hummering !! - Great looking car . Does anyone know the car ??
