Yep $70 is getting up there Your right Glenn, there is not enough differentiation between models, the GT-P is only good for people who want options over a GT as it then become economical to go the GT-P. Its not a distinct model as such with unique features except for the front seats. If you want a F6 with premium Brembos (4300) add FPV S/wheel (950) and the cool 19" grey alloys (2400) by the time you add just those 3 items together plus LCT your over $70k

l am growing keen on a Typhoon for my next car but would like to spec it up a bit with sunroof, leather, Argent 19's, FPV s/wheel, big brakes etc and before you know it the price is north of $70 BEFORE LCT. l would love to see FPV do a P version of the Typhoon but l wonder if they ever will. How many GT-Ps would they sell if the F6 could be bought in the same spec?

Very nice especially the BF 17" alloys, they look very tuff. What is the manual mode on the auto like? On our Terri you shift the lever left and then up and down for changes but its quite a long throw, have they shortened up the throw and given it a sportier feel with the new 6spd? Cheers

Definitlley chase VicRoads or the relevant council for this depending on whose jurisdiction the road falls under. Plonkly made a great post on this a while ago, you may need to do a search to find it but he expalined in detail how to go about claiming and what to say etc. Going back and getting pics of the hole is the first thing you should do.

Some good advice here l reckon, l would be looking for a nice T2 over any VS GTS. An XR6T is another possibility. l would even take a chance on a VX SS with LS1 over an old VS. Dont underestimate the T1/T2, great cars that are well engineered and an excellent drive. AU3 XR8 would also be a good deal, for that price you could probably get yourself one of the XR8 rebels, they were a good looking car too

Good onya Zap Looking forward to those photos. l hate to bring it up BUT on the issue of driveline shunt, has this been addressed in the BF? l would go fcuking mental if l bought another BA/F and it had shunt. March next year is new car time for me and as with most blokes have given the issue too much thinking time. l think it will be an Evo 9 for me for many reasons although the F6 would be my second choice with the exact options you went for.

Great advice from Jeff Dr Z l have always respected you as one of the most intelligent level headed posters here so reading what has happened to you makes me feel very bad for you even though we have never met. As Jeff suggests l would just let things flow naturally, forcing the friendship towards a relationship may destroy what you have. If it just happens then that's by far the best outcome, if it doesnt you still have a wonderful friend. l was in a strong platonic friendship with a woman for quite a few years and wondered as you are now if l could or should push things further. Of course l was wondering constantly what she was thinking too. l have now been married 7 years and still feel l am none the wiser on that one. We are now living 2 hrs apart and havent had contact for 4 or 5 years and l think that's just as well, my wife still mentions her Good luck with your future, but just let it flow l reckon. You are due some good fortune.

They reckon they cant get the colours on the bars whch are painted elsewhere to match the paint applied by the factory. Of course this is BS, what they mean is that they cant get it to match within the 50c budget allocated to each car.

Mondie I dont understand that comment... I had a GTP with 300 RWKW's and In stock form compared to a F6 in stock form the F6 has just as much instant throttle responce... Not to mention the auto F6. I drove the auto today (F6) and I was BLOWEN away. Titan FOrd have agreed to give me one for a full day for a photo shoot for my web site and im going to do a write up on it on there aswell... Man was I impressed. No worries, l have not driven an F6 yet. l was basing my comment on going from a T to GT a couple of years ago. Now only if you would only come to Melbourne and tune an F6 for me

2 secs is huge when you consider it was around Calder where the lap times were only in the 1.20's. Choosing between the two is still a tough choice for me. The instant response of the V8 is a big draw over the F6 even if it is ultimatley faster. Decisions decisions..........

Just thought of another car that's got my interest. BMW are releasing the 130i in a few weeks. It has a revised version of the 3.0l Six that puts out 190kw. Now that would be one hot hatch. The BMW 6 is an awesome engine but in a htach that weighs only 1450kg, wow. The model coming here comes with the M pack and is going to retail for around $60-62k l think with all the fruit.

The Sti Lib should be on the road for less than 68k l think. $59k + ORC l thought...... The Evo could have a CC fitted, dont let that put you off. l am sure the dealers would be getting used to that request from buyers by now Dont discount the Evo, l cant wait for a drive. If its that much better than an Sti it must be f*cking amazing

Expensive Daewoo have announced they will not be using the LS2 powerplant they will be fitting the L76 which in US form only makes 264Kw Are you sure? That seems like a dumb move, are the two engines closely related or would this be a whole new engine that would require its own spares inventory and tech training programs. Doesn't fit in very well in todays economic rationalisation approach to manufacturing. FWIW l much prefer the BF, it looks much tougher from the front than the BA.

Dags, l am thinking along the same lines as you for my Sti replacemet in a few months time. l have discounted the new Sti, its too ugly. l like the Maloo but the interior is pox and the resale could be quiestionable, although the LS2 is meant to be a great jigger. The FPV's are tempting, l havent driven an F6/Tornbado nor a GT for a couple of years so not sure who much improved they are since l had my original GT. Have you consdiered the Evo 9? that's ones car that l am seriosuly considering. The other is the limited release of the Sti tuned Liberty. These rae being out at the end of the year, there will only be 300. If you like the Liberty and want something a touch more tuned and exclusive that would just about be the pick.
