  1. Got that, but they arent actors being interviewed Yeah, they would have to be actors. Americans are not that dumb.....l think

5.4 l believe is Subaru's claim, perhaps nearer to 5.0/13.5 is what will be acheived from the Sti. Wait and see l guess, l just dont think the F6 will match either of the Japs in a straight line FWIW.
  3. Are you all not missing something here? CNNN is an ABC comedy show, a send up of CNN. Did anyone not read the news ticker at the bottom

No change to the Sti? How about the 2.5lt donk and revisions to the DCCD? The Sti and Evo are both going to go harder in a straight line and around a track, the F6 will be up against it in BFYB but it may have a better showing in PCOTY. l believe the suspension in the FPV's has hardly changed from the BA because the money ran out so dont expect any big gains there

Took a Black Mica MPS for a spin this morning with 4000km on the clock. It was very bloody nice, l am impressed The car is classy but muscular, love the rear end, very subtle. The twin pipes are a bit pox if you look closely though hiding the smaller outlets with a larger ring was a corner that should not have been cut. The alloys are nice but would be pr!cks to clean. Front again is muscular but subtle with the bulging bonnet. Overall it looks the goods. Interior is very schmick, this particular car had the luxury pack so had very nice high quality leather seats, a glass sunroof that made the interior feel open and airy and a Bose stereo that sounded great (even though l think Bose is crap) Controls had a nice feel, dash very nice and done in the style of the WRX Sti ie. red instruments that illuminate on power up. Steering wheel had good feel and with controls for stereo and CC, nicely done and again the quality was there. Loved the titanium finsih over the centre stack and console, better than the sprayed silver we get on the local cars On the road l was really suprised at how powerful the car was. Heaps of grunt down low and much easier to drive than the Sti. Pulls from 2500rpm effortlessly and would leave the Sti for dead up until 4500rpm. In fact you wouldnt know the MPS was a turbo unless you were told, it feels like a strong NA six. No wheezes, BOV noises or any other hint of whats under the bonnet. In a straight line there is no doubt the Sti would eat it but in everyday driving the MPS is very torquey and easy to drive. l found the clutch to be very light and the gearbox a bit vague and notchy compared to the superb 6sp Sti box but you would expect that, the Sti box is exceptional. Brakes had nice feel and worked well, no problems there. Overall a big thumbs up, a genuine alternative for those who dont need a big car and can settle for something a little smaller, but value quality and fit/finsh. l keep looking at the horny BF GT-P on my desktop and thinking how tough it looks. But its a bit like the blonde teenager you went to school with, tasty babe but not much between the ears. Will definitley give this one a big consideration along with the 2.5lt Sti, Evo 9, Liberty Sti and the FPV's when update time comes. l have some pics but they are at home on the camera, will post up later.

A couple of reviews below, seems to be very well liked, looking forward to checking one out. http://carpoint.ninemsn.com.au/portal/alia...topDefault.aspx http://autoweb.drive.com.au/cms/A_105234/newsarticle.html
  8. Just been playing around with the colourator and the F6 FWIW. The F6 in Vibe with the optional 19's looks very tough
  9. Yep they stopped them as the supplier couldnt supply a lid that fitted correctly for the 25c plus GST that Ford allocated Our Terri doesnt have one, dont miss it.

l think you are right ZAP. And Ford absolutley do care about modding, this would be costing them millions a year in warranty claims, disputes etc.

My local Mazda dealer has the Mazda Roadshow in town tomorrow and Thursday so l have booked a drive of the MP6. Got the brocuhres in the mail, l reckon its a nice classy looking car with a lot of fruit for $54k. Xenons, glass sunroof, leather, Bose stereo etc. By far my best car ownershp experience was a Mazda MX-6, it was a lovely car, great quality, satisfying to drive and to top it off the dealership service matched the car. Will try and get some pics for those interested.
  12. l am sure they would PM sent.
  13. Ah Mondie. How many do ya want of the HO. Geez it was a nice ride.. So sorry I sold it now. Oh well life goes on. I will scan a few more (back in the days of film...) and post them I am sure you have had a few nice cars in you time... I skipped the Mk II GT Cortina.. How many ya got l am very close to buying a HO at the moment so any inspiration to drool over is appreciated. l have had a lot of nice cars but not many photos. Would you believe l was so daft when younger that l owned at the same time an A9X Hatch, A9X sedan and a 72 Bathurst GTR XU-1. Total number of photos of all 3 together, ZERO
  14. Good to see you still around Rob. That will be one beautiful car, what mods do you have planned? l am sure they are inevitable Sure you dont want those 19's that's a good price too, can you say what dealer?
  15. Zap, that sounds like a bloody nice car. If l do it mine will be very simiar. Would also be tempted by the 6spd auto. l cant wait for the pics. When are you getting it
  16. l much prefer the BF. It gains its own identity instead of being a direct clone of its more expensive brother. And then there's those 19's If l go an FPV it will be the F6.
  17. What great line up you have/had there Brendan. Any chance of some more HO pics? Good to see your still lurking
  18. The nosey bas*ard in me would love to know what the "legal reasons" are.
  19. What state are you in, can make a difference to what you can have. In Vic you can goto www.vplate.com.au to see whats available.
  20. OK, l'll be first. Bloody terrible
  21. Still dead Dont know much about IT but l would have thought the new site would have been developed and tested over the past month and ready to go live with minimum fuss. Talk about pathetic marketing.
  22. "In a sign of the times, the turbocharged six-cylinder FPV Typhoon is reportedly faster than the V8. Matched to a six-speed automatic transmission, Ford says it accelerates from 0 to 100kmh in 5.3 seconds." Holy *beep* :jabber: Looks like the Boss is now only good for the sound. And that's an auto
  23. Spoken like a true engineer. Forgotten most of what l learnt at Uni but 746w stuck in my head, took a real engineer to correct me though
