  1. Had a good time, looking forward to the next one!
  2. Duggo will be fine, it will need a lot more than a days rain for it to flood. BTW count me in for tomorrow night.
  3. Any chance of a simple friday or saturday night cruise?
  4. I really dont get the idea of a pod filter at all. You are way better off using a k&n panel filter in your air box rather than a pod! Only use a pod filter when you need an air filter where there is no space for a proper air box ie. in your front bumper.
  5. My car was doing the same this arvo. You give it a bit of a boot and just as its starting to boost low in the rev range she farts a bit then takes off. Only did it when I was running petrol, seems ok on LPG though.
  6. sort of.....there use to be only 1 set of traffic lights between my house and the airport where I work. 120km round trip on the M5
  7. I have made it to 60,000km and may last another 5,000km with my 18's. Could have pushed maybe 10,000 if I wasnt lazy with the last rotation.
  8. Where abouts in 'west sydney'?
  9. I have used Kyb shocks on past rides and Have been quite impressed with their value and performance. I got quoted roughly $100 per shock which I think is ok. Has anyone used them? My car is a BFT with 60k on the clock and she is starting to get a bit soft. Also due for some new tyres very soon (60k+ out of 18" wheels yee harr) and thinking about adding a whiteline 27mm front sway bar. Im not too keen on lowering her and am happy enough with the standard xr6 suspension performance. Havent heard from anyone using KYB's yet?
  10. Probably seen you too. She is Bionic.
  11. Yeah I was surprised the last one started out here, pity I couldnt make it. Plenty of nice roads...
  12. Hey neighbour
  13. Too much talk about the domestic airport/ krispy kream/ and ASIC's so where does everyone work?
  14. A.P.E. Good information you have there, but it seems a little out dated? When you are talking about the liquid system, are you talking about the JTG system? There is no way you will be getting anywhere near 340rwkw and you wont be swapping over to petrol when you nail it. The start on petrol and auto swap to gas and remain on gas. Turboworm has pushed this system to its limits, full time gas.
  15. I have one of these Hdi kits and I think they are good value for money. They fit in $$ between the e-bay/wog coolers and say rapid/process west kit. They are not very tall at all as they only just fit up under the metal reinforced bumper which has to be trimmed. The fitment is 'ok' I guess, they actually fit a bit too low. The stone tray wont go back on and I cut out the bottom of my bumper so the last row of the cooler pokes out the bottom of the bumper. Might fit a bit better with a BA bumper. Also had to trim a bit of the radiator fan shroud to get the pipe to fit. Cant comment on how other brand intercooler kit fitment is like but im happy enough with my purchase.
  16. Koni 'reds' are adjustable, just not on the car. You have to remove the shock from the car and adjust by fully compressing the shock until it clicks into something like an internal valve. Once the valve is located, the shiny part of the shock is rotated clockwise or anti-clockwise in the body for a harder/softer setting. Once you are happy, you can extend the shock and fit to car
  17. You can pull the relay and let it run out of fuel but you will still get some fuel in the line. Just make sure you do it on a concrete driveway or garage. The spilt fuel can eat away some driveways
  18. Good call, most aftermarket intercoolers will not provide more air flow to your radiator. Still, I think the main stress when you are towing is the gearbox. Having the gearbox cooler intergrated into the raidiator personally whouldnt have been my pick, I would have gone for a stand alone cooler.
  19. From the information provided in the original post dragr32 I have taken it from the point of view that he is looking for an intercooler to aid his towing, in which any aftermarket cooler will not provide. Any aftermarket intercooler will restrict the air flow to the radiator more than the stock unit. However, as dragr32 has provided us with more info, he has plans for some mods.
  20. thanks for that tab....keep thinking.
  21. I had/have a similar clicking noise comming from under my BF. It could be heard when you take off from standing still, or at low speeds when you are on and off the throttle. Ford replaced the tail shaft which fixed it for a few weeks but its back again. I have just got use to the sound.

    Anyone got KYB shocks?
  23. The forward part of the fuel line is easily replaced as its only a few ft long to the quick disconnect fittings where the pipe turns into a hose for engine changes. I gave up and went to the wreckers and got another pipe! Interestingly to note, the pipe from the wreckers was a different colour from a BA, myne a BF. The BA line screwed on easily.
  24. I getting about 13L/100 with my liquid LPG system and 11L/100 on petrol. Only tuned to 236 rwkw.
  25. From Mt Annan to Thirlmere via The Oaks? that's a good drive.
