  1. I was at the Lovells warehouse today getting some springs for another car and asked about their suspension package for the Ba-Bf1. The springs apparently are a little bit lower than the standard XR and the shocks are shorter than standard. I was quoted a good price but anyone got fedback of this package?
  2. XR6T + LPG
  3. have a read of this: http://peugeotforum.dk/images/Oilbreather/Engine_Digsy_Blow-by_and_breather_systems.pdf
  4. Have you got it tuned yet with the new cooler? I have left the cold air inlet pipe open but have the typhoon intake. My car overboosted before the tune so I didnt really get a chance to see if it felt like it had lost any power.
  5. I bought the supercharged Late model camira 36lb injectors as well. I dont think it will be until early next year to see how they go.
  6. Not many mods. Just Hdi intercooler kit, cat back exhaust, K&N filter with the typhoon intake and a custom tune. Only 236 RWKW. Im planning on changing the calibrators on the LPG injectors to match some 36lb petrol injectors I have, changing the cat and getting another tune to maybe pump it up to around 270 RWKW.
  7. Try not thrashing your car so much and drive it easy a few tanks. I have found that when giving it some on LPG it drinks it a lot more than giving it some on petrol. I still think 15L/100 is high consumption to begin with. Did your installer discuss with you fitting a doughnut tank? or even removing the crappy factory subwoofer and fitting the larger tank?
  8. Your LPG economy is a bit off but not too bad I dont think. My dodgy calculations show that your were averaging over 15.5/100km on petrol which I think is high to begin with. This will have a direct relation to your high LPG consumption in connection with your difficulty filling your tank over 42L. Personally, to begin with get your tank filling issues sorted and then worrie about your consumption. You should be able to get around 50L in your tank behind the seat as I can get close to 50L with my doughnut tank. Tank my figures into consideration. I have a BF T 6 speed auto. I consistantly get low 11'sL/100km from petrol and get around 14L/100km on LPG. My LPG doughnut tank fills around 47-48L and I get around 330km per tank.
  9. What is your petrol fuel economy like?
  10. I fitted a set of very low km BF F6 shocks and springs to my BFT. Shocks had same part number, front springs same part number, rear springs different part number but feel the same. All round same height, maybe 5mm higher.
  11. I have the JTG Liquid system
  12. I have a doughnut tank which ususlly fills between 46-49L of LPG which gets me 300-330km consistantly.
  13. been thinking a bit more, id like to change my order to a white set if I could thanks.
  14. put me down for a set of blue
  15. Id run the -8 fuel line with the reduces on the fuel pump from -10 to -8. My reasons being is for cost. -8 fuel line will be cheaper and easier and neater to work with and you will only need reduces on the fuel pump which would be cheaper than buying reduces for the fuel reg and fuel rail. Cant help with the fuel filters though.
  16. What part of the K&N filter are you worried about making the throttle body stick? The only part I could think would possibly be the oil the filter is soaked in? If oiled correctly, the filter should not drip with oil in any way and definately not have excess oil on the clean side of the filter. Even if the filter is heavily soaked with oil, from my experience with modified cars this would not be a problem with the throttle body sticking. All XR6T's suffer from some form of blow-by which coats the inside of the intake plumbing where some oil passes through ther throttle body and will leave an oily residue in the intake piping and the throttle body. Nothing to be concerned about. Personally I have never experienced any 'sticking' of the throttle body.
  17. I dont think removing the stone tray will do anything much at all except maybe get you a bit dirty while you try and remove it. I have removed my stone tray due to my setup and have a 100mm thick intercooler out the front, havent noticed any difference in temps.
  18. My BF Turbo has a custom tune which resulted in 236rwkw which has been good but we all want more. I know I need larger injectors to go further but I also have the JTG liquid LPG system fitted. Upgrading the LPG system is going to be expensive. For 42lb petrol injectors, the LPG system will need a new set of larger injectors also along with another LPG fuel pump. Estimated cost is over the $2k mark. The LPG fuel pumps are in tank and the tank is already small (range is around 330km) so if I fit another fuel pump in the tank I will lose range which is something I dont want to do. Although, I have done some reasearch and found that I should be able to use some 36lb injectors with my current LPG injectors calibrated to suit and also stay with the single LPG pump. I have done lots of reasearch on the 36lb injectors but no one seems to use them so im unsure what I should be expecting from them. I know the 36lb injectors are not the best choice, is it still worth while? If I could make it to the 280rwkw range id be happy.
  19. Well if you insist on using a mixer ring, you dont need anyones permission. Go ahead, try it but please let us all know the results of your experiment.
  20. If you cant afford to do it properly, dont bother. Modifying cars isnt cheap. The only realistic way to do it is to go the JTG liquid injection system which is around $5000 installed for a standard system. Trying to get ancient mixer ring LPG system to make power in an xr6 TURBO would be pushing sh*t up a hill.
  21. I have a Hdi kit and it didnt like the stock tune. Engine light came on within a day of driving after I hit some boost before I got it tuned. Im sure its due to the restrictive UBP being removed and now the intake flows better. Get it tuned and enjoy the added power!
  22. Ive had my JTG system for nearly 12 months now and its been all good. It was installed by Australian L.P. Gas Conversions in Wollongong, speak to Kurt. Excellent service from them, very highly recommended. I get around 330km from average of 46L of LPG which is roughly 14L/100km. On Petrol I was getting 11-12L/100km. All figures are combines city/hwy driving. I only has initial problems with a slight flat spot at low RPM and longer cranking of the starter motor on startup. That was just the LPG injectors bedding in. Starts perfectly now.

    Catch Can

I did the same setup as you described on my twin turbo Toyota corona which suffered from excessive venting from the rocker cover. The venting so bad that the can would fill up the catch can after a few runs down the quarter mile, but that was due to the setup I was running which I will talk about another time. There is a bit of science when draining the catch can back into the sump to prevent pressure going back up the drain hose back into the can. One method is the make the drain hose big enough, another is to have a check valve. Good quality check valves arnt cheap though. Have a read of that article I posted as a link, should explain more. I have fitted a catch can to my XRT a few months back, the oil hasnt even registered on the sight gauge on the side of the tank yet. I dont think the venting oil vapour is nearly bad enough to drain back to the sump. Maybe when you are running very high boost or have a high km engine. Id put the catch can in without a drain and monitor how much it collects before you invest time and money in a drain back to the sump.
  24. Rattler, about the 42lb injectors....will this need another pump? Only looking for around 12psi and high 200's.
  25. Good numbers for stock injectors and especially the auto!
