do not know what boost it will need to have 600 hp on pump 98 fuel ?

You would be coming into the range of them cams. Your converter will help u a little. I would imagine a flat 22psi thru the 4sp on 98 at about 5k would be about 450kw. With that motor you could run more boost down to make it more exciting to drive but your auto builder would hate it.

he has not replied to my message ? so I have just bought a FG long motor with turbo and intake manifold and throttle body plus some of the accessories like air con and power steering pump .it also has all the pulleys and belt tensioner .the engine has only travelled 6000 klm so is is just run in .the whole lot delivered to my door is about $3900-$4000

so FPT are tuning it, low k fg long sorted. This is going to turn out well for sure, could there be enough in the budget for something other than a btr now?

barnz ,thinking of a 6 speed manual maybe . he has got one with the engine for a reasonable price . Jamie is going to do the tune to it

just talked to the guy and he would do me a deal on the box and motor .extra $1700 for the box . what do I have to do to get it to work with my computer (the gearbox ?) I know I would have to get the tails haft re done to suit the manual . what about the gearbox mounts ? and what type of clutch would I need ?

Dont know how to get the gearbox to work, but your going to need a bigger/better turbo. That engine sounds the goods and much cheaper than building from scratch. Is the owner on here?
