I think one of the perceptions about the FG AC being not as efficient is because of the expanse of glass and dashboard. It deosn't matter how good the AC is with direct sun heitting that sized screen and dash board, the rediated heat will be excessive.

Sounds like we all need our windscreens tinted

Hey guys,

I went to install my iPod cable into the falcon this morning,

the blue cable is fine, it's just that some bastard (probably

the previous owner) has cut the white plug off at the end.

There's a white, black, and two orange with black trace wires.

Just wondering if anyone could get a photo of the orientation

of their wiring in the white plug?

Any help would be very appreciated.

Hi. It should have one white wire for left signal input, one red wire for right signal input two earths and a switch wire. try joining the two orange/blacks to each other and see if the aux function works, if not look for a black wire and join it to the orange black wires. this point is also signal earth. Is it possible to replace ipod/iphone cable in the console with USB cable for mp3 player (cheaper than apple) ????

It's a Ford cable, doesn't have USB on the other end. I'm not 100% sure about what you're actually asking though but I think the answer is no.

What Tab said is true but a bastardised version can be jigged up with this cable;

Hi Guys,

Traded up from a 2003 BA XT to a new 2011 XR6T a few weeks ago (sensational!!). But one thing I can't figure out is why each time I re-start the car, the ipod goes to the beginning of the playlist. If it's turned off for an hour or so it continues on from where the last song was when the car was turned off, which is what I want. However any longer like overnight for some reason it goes back to the the first song (in my case Accuracy -The Cure).

I've turned shuffle off on the ipod but the ICC seems to turn it back on when I press random.

I want it to pick up from where it stopped all the time, and not return to the beginning.

Any ideas or help would be much appreciated.

Looks tops In white. Find this problem depending on what iPod/phone I use. I've found that using my iPod classic works best with the car.

You could try speaking to ford service about the problems your having. Your car might need a software update from them
