  • turbotrana, do you think Atomics mechanics went to year 11, or 12 instead of year 10?? Dont think so. I am not a big fan of brand dealerships, but you cant lumber all Ford, or Expensive Daewoo mech

  • so 14k and the engine builder is responsible for bad mechanics or bad tuning???? wat a stupid thing to say. I think engine builders get alot of the blame from bad tuners. good engines can make a bad

  • their is two sides to every story. for starters a loose bolt on the valve spring??? no bolts on valve spring??not having a go at you but judging from your lack of mechanical knowlage this could even b

guess im lucky I live 20min away from atomic if I ever got a motor from him

im on my second engine and all have been perfect. Admittedly, the engine I have now took ages for parts but other then that its fine. I never babied it when I got it though.

im the 2nd owner of an atomic built motor , but even though I never paid a cent to brad, he was mega helpful with any questions I had , as the motor had been idle for some time !

I would get another motor off him anytime!

he deals in alot of these motors and knows them inside and out!

anyone read Street machine latly , there is a story of a known tuning shop banging a high dollar motor more than once due to an incorrect oil cooler setup.

we play we pay.

my stock motor from ford came without a head gasket fitted , but passed all the tests.

we all have had a bad days behind the tools

ATomicG6e had to send his back twice with different issues. In the end he flew up to Sydney to make sure his engine was 100% before it was sent back to him. Brad(?) has people assemble them for him.

Cant wait to find out what the problem is. If the motor turns over and makes no noises then I cant see it being the motor. Its not gonna be valve springs, it could be timing misdone but I doubt this also. Atomic does do good work but like anyone they are not infallable.

I think your main problem is getting a Ford dealer to do the change over. Sure they swap over alot of engines and deal with this car all the time. And they also get it wrong alot of the time. Alot of Ford mechanics left school at year 10 and they will do a good job at phucking up anything they put their hand. Sure you get the odd good one but most dont think out of the square and are strictly called parts changers.

Maybe you had no option but you were better off getting the car towed to someone respected in the performance industry cause I think you will be hitting your head against a brick wall with the Ford dealer. They are simply not be very good at sorting out anything out of the ordinary. Especially dealling with something performance orientated.

The guy who opens a performance workshop and has it in him to learn to do everything himself is worth 20 Ford employee parts changers IMO.

Time to get someone else to sort your problem out. They can talk it over with atomic and try and pinpoint the issue. If it was me I would have ripped off the timing cover to double check the timing, taken out a valve spring to test pressures and whatever else if I thought it was the engine and not waisted time sending back to atomic.

Didn't someone recently post that they had issues with their atomic motor and stage 4 cams or something? They had to change the cams back to stage 3 for it to work past a certain RPM.. Maybe I read that somewhere else..
