^{I thought about doing it myself but appartently its pretty technical on the zf's. Didnt think it was worth the risk for the sake of a coupe hunge. Only changing to the metal pan because its supposed to makes it easier/cheaper for future survicing. Probably a bit of added strength aswell if I hit something}

Metal pan never gets replaced, filters are changed that's all. Plastic pan is attached to filter and is a throw away item.

Correct but the plastic pans have come down in price, they can be had for $120ish trade.

You would need to service the box a few times to recover your cost so it just depends on how many kays you do and how long you intend to keep your car.

I got mine flushed with genuine lifeguard oil plus a new heat exchanger and plastic cooler lines for less than $600

What happens with warranty when replacing the plastic pan with metal? Assuming factory oil replaced..

I can find it when I get home, was a parallel thread that screwed into gearbox to a 1/2 nipple, I then used a bit of clear tube and a ball valve to a drum pump and it was a piece of piss to service.
