Boost Solenoid Maintenance

Is the solenoid located in the same position on an FG.

Hey guys. So I was doing the solenid clean today on the BA and I noticed when I pulled the solenoid out that the little cap that goes at the bottom of it is all cracked and broken and basically falling off. What is the purpose of this cap?

So im assuming this is something that can be done on the FG's as well? being that my G6eT is about to hit the 60k mark and this thing has probably never been touched

What part do you actually clean / lube?

griffo, in the picture of mine 4 posts up, my thumb is on the hose you need to spray your CRC into.

You can remove the hose without having to remove the turbo intake pipe, but it's a bit tight.

Did mine today, the low throttle is heaps better and was really easy to do all I did was undid the hose clamp on the tube at the top of the turbo for the solienoid

sprayed it.

Gave it a go quite simple on the FG not sure of the effects felt OK but I need to have a bigger drive than around the street and at the moment that would get in the road of drinking so it will have to wait....
