My car runs on the generic 8psi map but makes good power on the 10psi map. It is slightly on the lean side but it has never pinged and always gone strong.Your car might make good power, or it might ping. Best thing to do is get it, fill er up with Ultimate and ease it into the 10psi tune. Give it 1000km to settle in and it will probably serve you fine. If you dont have access to ultimate fuel, I would strongly suggest a trip into town to get it custom tuned on regular PULP.I have been running a generic 10psi tune for quite a while, and have never had an issue. I'll be getting a custom tune done soon because I have injectors to put in.You can "mail order" tunes from Simon here in Perth, all you need to do is send him your edit and a couple of dyno charts, and he will build your tune around that. Once you get it back, put it on the dyno, check AFRs and send the sheet back to simon to see if there are any changes to be made. If not you're all sweet, if yes then send it back and give it another go.

In most country areas 95 is the best fuel you can get so if you come into the city (and I dont know where you are)which ever tuner you choose, you should have it tuned on 95 octane fuel if that's all that's available to you. At our dyno day yesterday was a great example between generic and custom tune, 2 cars both auto and stock except for edit. Both autos . Stock no edit you can expect around 195rwkw. The generic tune car produced 220 rwkw. The custom tuned car produced 246 rwkw and a bigger smile. Hope that gives you an idea of what to do.

seventytwo Still have a turbo, it's just on a diesel. If the tune where great straight out of the box why would you bother spending any extra money in getting a custom tune. The tunes are poor so that you will spend your money at the local tuner
