About byi

  1. I wouldn't recommend Elite, Once had my car taken there and upon its return there was slight damage and alot of confussion over a simple job which ended up costing myself alot of time and money. Good luck with the search.
  2. This is a very useful site http://members.tripod.com/wrx_act/tech/wrx_faq.htm Perhaps your friend could consider a Galant VR-4 if he is struggling to find a decent Impreza.
  3. My vehicle ran 265 rwkw with the five speed transmission without fault. As long as your sensible with your gear changes and alike, which in reality is very easy to do (just requires an understanding of correct shifting and experience) the transmission works very well. Cheers,

    Power Or Looks

Suspension and brakes should be considered as another viable option. Once you are able to carry additional speed and improve your vehicles load transfer whilst cornering you may see that an excessive amount of power is not required. Cheers,
  5. That’s a fine looking machine. I’m purchasing a MY99 WRX early next year. With its AWD drive train, kerb weight of 1220kg and four pot breaks I can actually get excited by a more dynamic and overall better driving experience. Cheers,
  6. Yes I am, I just need clarification if a T56 from a XR8 is compatible, that's all. Cheers,
  7. Thanks chaps, it looks like the auction has been editied with additonal information. Can anyone please give a definate answer to the conversion questions? Cheers,
  8. There is currently a T56 from a Xr8 on auction at eBay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ford-2006-BF-6-Spee...1QQcmdZViewItem can anyone advise if this gear box can be installed, with modifications, into a Turbo Falcon? Cheers,
  9. Sorry to side track this topic, can anyone advise how to disable the low fuel chime? Cheers,
  10. I have a MK1 Turbo and must say it is a superb vehicle. If you do a little searching and have patience there are a few good opportunities to upgrade your vehicle to a standard that you are comfortable with / desire, without spending more on a MKII, for example, I sourced a set of new premium brakes from a BF turbo and a ICC unit that had the six disc changer in from GT both at very good prices. The five speed manual does have a bad reputation, but unless you are horse power hunting it is slightly exaggerated. I’m running 265rwkw with a stronger clutch and it is a pleasure to drive. I can reach 0-100km in approximately 4.5 – 4.75 seconds without fear of transmission damage. Best of luck with your search. Cheers,
  11. I'm seeking recommendations as to who would be the best company / work shop to speak to about installing an audio system in my vehicle whom are located in Brisbane. I am not too keen on FIST audio. Cheers,
  12. Can anyone please offer some insight as to where the F6 boost gauge is plumbed into? I have read a few topics discussing plumbing the boost sender into the blow off valve however I have been advised that this may not produce the most accurate readings. Does anyone know of another location along the line where I could install the sender? Cheers,
  13. I would be very interested in hearing a little more about the dog gear's you have discovered. Do you have a link or company name ? The cheapest T56 transmission I have found is $4400 from Suburban Imports in Sydney Cheers,
  14. What sort of clutch does your T5 run off? Cheers,
