left for work this morning, turned onto the main road and the car went dead, lucky I was still in the left lane so I pull over to the side of the road, Tried to restart, nothing, no cranking, no dash lights, just the smart lock blinking on the dash. I had only broken down a few hundred meters from home, so a quick round trip home to grab a few tools, started checking dash fuses, nope all good, same with the blade fuses in the engine bay, tried a battery disconnect reset, still a flat line. 45 minutes and a 77 dollar flat bed ride later*, shes at the mechanics for an autopsy. Pinched the missus car and went to work, get back to the mechanics after work to find the car pointing in a different direction from where I left it, a good sign I hope. A quick chat to the mech and the culprit is the main engine fuse, a 140amp fuse that lives in the engine fuse box and requires the fuse box to be pulled apart to replaced. The electrics are fine no unusual loads the fuse just went pop. So I am now $180 bucks poorer all over an $8 fuse, I think I am going to pick up a spare from fraud, just in cause the car decides to have another stroke. Can say I was lucky though, if it happened last weekend while I was on my trip to Brisvagas and back I would have been royally screwed *mind you my mechanic is right next to where I live and 200m from where I rolled to a stop a
