Edit Without Custome Tune

I was thinking getting a capa flash tuner for my stock baT.Will I notice any diffrence ?In country so getting a custome tune is not an option at this point .Any thought ?Is it worth doing without custome tune?

Hey mate you wont regret buying the edit. but to get full benfits out of the

edit it wise to get a custom tune to get the most out of it. but in saying that some guys do still use the generic tunes that come with the boxs but I reckon speaking to some of the fourm sponsor and take it from there.

nah not really I dont think. ive heard having the flash tuner with generic tunes can also be bad for the car as it can run lean?

better to organise a holiday and get it custom tuned me thinks

In my opinion.... NO!

Have a read of the number of issues guys have when just using generic tunes.

Some have good reults, many have mediocre improvements, and some develop issues which create hassles galore.

Save your money up and arrange for a trip to a decent tuner and get it set up properly from the start. You'll be much more satisfied, at not only the real performance gain, but the improved reliability, driveability and improvement in economy when it is setup properly for your car.

Custom tune will give you a real smle on your face, and peace of mind too.

If a custom tune is not possible, use the 8psi map people seem to have less problems with it, than the 10psi map

Yeah my 10psi generic tune was a lean one, but apparently it was tuned for NO cai and kn filter... the 8psi was fine though.

If you do get the edit, be safe and get the car on a dyno ( any dyno ) and check the AFRs for all tunes so you know your safe

Capa generics didnt run very well for me. 8 and 10psi maps surged alot.

Im currently running a custom generic tune. car is very smooth but not as powerfull as I hoped had it dynoed and the afr are good so its safe.

tunes cost me $150 I should have just paid the extra for a custom tune but at least its safe to run compaired to the capa tunes.

My T ran great on to generic 10PSI map. I ran it that way for about 6 months.

The cars have huge differences in them and the generic tunes may/may not work in your individual vehicle.

The custom tune made a huge difference, though, and is well worth the money.
