Edit Without Custome Tune

I believe that the poor custom tune are that way for a purpose.

If the tune where great straight out of the box why would you bother spending any extra  money in getting a custom tune.  The tunes are poor so that you will spend your money at the local tuner

I think it's actually 2 reasons:

1. The tolerances in these cars is huge as is the way they react to boost, timing etc. Therefore, any off-the-shelf product will basically have to be able to cater to most cars like the FoMoCo flash from the factory. After all, they don't dyno every car before it goes out.

2. This still leaves a healthy margin for the after market tuners to optimise the tune for each car.
